  3. Thanks, Martin, a great illustration of the possibilities of a Minox. I see you have named the scanner but no mention of the all important film and developer. :)
  4. Really nice. You're getting pretty good at this.:)
  5. Assuming that everything else was up to standard, one must conclude the developer is at fault. 2 months doesn't seem long as I have been using developer much older but kept in PET bottles with zero air space. Your only other problem may be the capacity of 500ml to do more than 3 films. I use David Lyga's one shot system and have no regrets.
  6. You are on the right track. I have a question tho. Were they on the same roll of film? The tree stump seems much more grain clumped than I would expect. My poor old 'B' is at the doctors to free up the focus. It got so tight it made my thumb sore. :( Thanks for showing.

  9. I have used 89s in the Minox and 35mm as attached. I developed it in a mix of 1ml Rodinal + 1ml HC-110 in 240ml water stand. I rated it at the box speed. My minox strip remains to be scanned. Have fun as it is a good film.
  10. I recently was in contact with Jimmy Li and he told me he is no longer making the 16mm/Minox slitter as the demand was zero.
  11. Joe, a thousand apologies. I missed the question. Mea Culpa. The HC-110 addition is like adding sulphite and/or borax to give a brew that delivers fine grain and (IMHO) a better gradation of grays. There has been much discussion about it elsewhere. I measured the pH at 8.8 which is the same as HC-110. I use it with films like Rollei Retro 80s and Bluefire and anything slower. They all seem to need some help to get satisfactory tonal representation. But ... it's my assessment only. YMMV. I include one that was on Ro80s and that brew and am pleasantly surprised at the result. I offered the idea as a suggestion only as the OP will undoubtedly have moved on in the intervening period. Sorry, again
  12. I have been developing such films in a brew consisting of Rodinal 1ml plus HC-110 1ml in 250 ml water as a stand developer for 30 min. Longer doesn't hurt if the TV has something better to watch.
  13. I have a 44 and wonder how one could decide where the 'start' and the first frame is if the window is blocked:)? Keeping the darkness from the side (mine has its window in the middle) does sound a bit odd as said above.
  14. Thank you Martin - don Quijote #1 Film? Development?
