Thanks Amy - Wow, four boys! My nine year old is pretty calm now but my three year old is quite the handful. I can't imagine trying to watch two more plus a girl. Makenna is my calm child so far but I hear once she hits 12-14 years to watch out for the hormones. I wish I could just keep them this age with exception to my three year old:) We are still hoping he will pull out of this busy, busy stage. Take care and thanks again for commenting.

Thanks Amanda for your comment. I have two boys and one little girl so I cherish the "girly" moments that only she thinks of. She is only seven so I sure the years will fly by and this photo will mean even more to me in the years to come. I'm happy it brought back a special memory for you as well.

I love the lighting of this. Not sure the basket helps the image. I think it would be beautiful withe just the girl in the same pose (arm down) without the basket of upside down animals.

A daddy and his little girl...

Comments are appreciated - Do you think this should be under
portraits or a different catergory?

Congratulations Steve on being the Top of the Portraits TRP! Stephanie is looking as darling as ever and this expression you've captured is pure innocence and beauty. I always love the subtle pink tones that your images of her seem to have as well. Hope all is well with you.

Thanks Steve & Doug - Your comments are appreciated. Most sessions I just shoot on the fly and don't pre-plan my shots. I think it is mainly because I work with children and their moods & outfits tend to dictate my shooting style. However with this shot, I did alot of thinking beforehand and came up with this idea in my head. I am glad it turned out as good on paper as it did in my mind:)

Thanks everyone for your comments. This maternity shot was really fun and we tried a few different poses such as this. I'll be posting more from this session in the days to come.

You've captured great emotion with this. It makes me smile. The sepia tones work well with this image too.

Hi Will - Nice to hear from you. I have MIA from PN lately but hope to start posting some new ones again soon. I took a little hiatus after the holiday rush. This is just a snap of my nephew at my parents house. He is on their sofa and the red thing behind him is a throw pillow. I agree that it's distracting though. I didn't use a color pop action on this but did use a softening action. I did bump the contrast up manually a little. If you like the Jinky actions, you should check out Totally Rad actions as well.

Thanks R R & Gisela - I love bright colors against white. They are always some of my favorite shots. She was pretty easy to photograph. Six month olds are my favorite subjects. Just say their name and they smile. They can't crawl away or run yet too!
RR - Your daughter is just a doll and you have taken some great images of her lately. I keep checking your portfolio to see your latest.
Gisela - thanks for your continual support. I LOVE your new street scene shots. The colors are awesome and your daughter definitely looks like she is having fun modeling for you.
