While I am not a "train buff" I had to stop for a moment as I crossed the rail road tracks on my way home. This train was just parked there and screamed to me "Park the car and grab this shot". As I stood there on the track I couldn't help but wonder what one might see if this train was up to speed and bearing down on him/her. My imagination saw only the front of the train everything else became secondary. This may well turn into a seris. I checked out your rail road folder and found it very interesting, what a beast that steam engine is.

This the second attempt at adding motion to a photograph in which
there was none. Your thoughts and recomendations greatly appreciated.

The image was shot inside a homemade light tent, for the most part it has worked great...until now I'll have to check into one just to see if the reflections are eleminated.
-
For the most part I like the results, except for the reflections.
Your comments and suggestions would be most appreciated as to an
easy way to eleminate these "hot spots" for the next time I am doing
any highly reflective subjects.

The most compelling thing about this image (to me) was trying to figure out what the heck it was. When I first saw the image I thought it must be a retina....but how, then I thought no it must be part of a flower...then I read how you created the image. Well planed, flawlessly executed, outstanding results.

There was no political intent in this photograph. That does seem to be the message that it sent to you. When I see a photograph that contains subject matter that I do not like I disqualify myself from rating it. In this case it would not have made any difference (to me) what country was represented by the flag, it was only the poor condition of the flag that I found disturbing.

I saw this flag flying over a Post office and could not believe how
tattered it was. I couldn't help but being a little bit angry that a
government service would fly a flag in such condition.

Really well done, love the wake effect. Really fantastic idea

The bright sky is completely blown out, I think a fill flash would have helped a bit with the exposure. Or maybe a different angle that didn't look up into the bright sky. I'm no photoshop expert but I think that overexposure is one of those things that can not be "fixed". It would have to be manipulated by adding a sky.

Some people call them weeds, I call them...my lawn. Thanks everyone for your comments.

Just like looking trhough the mist...really well done, fogging your lens in this case was clever indeed.

The collection of art glass belongs to my wife. I started picturing them as an exercise in photographing glass and other highly reflective subjects, and to see if I could use houshold lights and a bed sheet for some halfway decent results. The art glass looked so nice I just had to share with all the folks on PN.

I really like the candles, in contrast to the lighting on the subjects face. 6/6

Finally some sunshine.

This is a great photo, I really like the subdued lighting, it produces an image the way it might look when viewed with the eye. Great work.

Well done, but I think a white or silver reflector might have done a little better...but thats just me. 5/7
