  1. Dizzying.  At first glance, it's hard to determine which is real.

    Enclosed Fern

Nature yearning for an escape.  The sad fern frond seems barricaded in so many ways.

    Here We Go Again

From a purely compositional point of view, I like how the strong diagonal of the coiled wire rises and then visually breaks and falls with the numerous smaller wires and slant of the room.  Almost like a wave.
  4. This says a lot in a simple shot, distilling the experience of driving into the city.
  5. Very clean color scheme. The bright yellow line commands attention--attack and release.

    Sunday Dress

Classic down the to the subtle toning. Love the eyes and the shabby shoes.

    Stacked Boxes

    Tense. The pressure of conformity.

    The Youth Generation

Solid, straightforward, confident capture. The sunglasses are a nice touch.
  9. Strange indeed! I like how the orange pours down into the horizon, almost spilling and spreading from the clouds.
  10. I wonder what it was about this photo that channeled Hotel California for you.   The half-grown footpath and decayed face of the rock make for a thoughtful, but not easily defined capture.

    It's a Love Thing

Help me be the man my dog thinks I am.....   Absolute adoration.
  12. A nice moment.  It makes me wonder how you extract such friendliness and willing participation from your victims.
  13. The "Never" in your title conveys such relief. The gaggle of remotes is certainly a call to inaction.
  14. Your photographic treatment pairs well with the subject matter. The photo swirls with details, but that table of friends seems to be the eye of the storm.
  15. Sometimes the long rays of the morning light illuminate in such a way that it almost becomes a religious experience. The mundane suddenly transforms into something greater than it is. Your angle makes everything rush down to the center, as if the light is being funneled down an hourglass.

    ....?

There are few who frame the world quite like you do. I would've walked by without noticing. Are you making fun of the world? Is the world making fun of us?
  17. Amazing strength. The orange light outlines the cast quite effectively.

    Solitary Diner

The beautiful slightly orange cast and accidental perfection of the details gives a Rockwellian feel--peace and pathos.

    Stylish Relics

Pure projection, but it reminds me of my mother's "ladies' Bible study" where the attendees had gravity-defying Jiffy-Pop hairdos and shockingly neon lipstick.  Forget the fishes and loaves.  The real miracle is what can be done with a can of Aqua-Net and spackle.  All in the name of Christ.

    Just Needed a Break

The colors meld nicely.  The blues on the wall and his shirt.   The oranges, pinks, and peach of his skin.
  21. Great.  Gritty handling.  Your subject has a great deal of grit, too, I imagine.

    Portrait-139

I like the detail and texture of his face.  Those eyes are quite piercing.
  23. The off-kilter tilt and heavy vignette gives this a sense of intimacy (or eavesdropping).
  24. The light on this one seems electrified. Lit from within.
