I like this a lot.  The delicate shadows from the curtain fabric are splendid. Back in film days I did a B&W series called Deskscapes -- didn't get anything nearly as nice this frozen moment.

Sometimes the long rays of the morning light illuminate in such a way that it almost becomes a religious experience.  The mundane suddenly transforms into something greater than it is.  Your angle makes everything rush down to the center, as if the light is being funneled down an hourglass.

Jack, Thoreau's words come to mind: "Simplify! Simplify!"

Perhaps that is your secret, that you actually live that ethic.

I can't for the life of me think why I would need any more... except for another lens for my camera, maybe. My student just gave me his old Nikon D7100 and I'm not really to happy with my present lens. All the other stuff is ok until it falls apart.

The image is  full of  life and the  light I see all the time in my office too, but  never  get an idea  to shot  like you. Excellent work as usual.

Cheers.
