I agree with most of the comments, but I would NOT crop it, as I really like the shadows on the belly, the offset the shadows on the face nicely :).

I'd like more detail in the whites, more texture to the material :). Other than that, the expression, concept, and textures/details behind her are great, good shot :).

Okay, I initially gave it a 2/4, before I saw the caption...I HATED IT! However, after seeing the caption, I love it. Funny how the little extra clarity of a few words changed my view of it completely :). NOT one that I'd hang in my living room, but possibly in my studio? :D.

This image is so large that I can not see it on my monitor. I believe the guidelines suggest a maximum size of 800 pixels. I can't get a sense of the entire picture because it is too big.

I would have cropped it, to be honest I hadn't ecen noticed the people under the tree, my eye was drawn to the horse. It is also nice uncropped, though, but for my taste it would have been a little (albeing VERY little) better cropped. Still, good composition, great color, shapes and textures are good. It seems a little less sharp than I usually like, but still...the overall feel to the shot is very good :) (Aesthetics 6/Originality 6).

I might add that the fact that you could GET shadows the day you shot this makes me want to give it a 10/10...been so cold and rainy for so long that I had almost forgotten what a shadow looked like :).

Max, great shot. I wish they still did traditional lanterns here, but we are stuck with the plastic mass produced ones in most temple settings. Looks like I ought to go to Fla for traditional lanterns, lol :-).
