Jane, what a great comment. I have never been able to figure out why beauty can't be found in all body parts (and in answer to if the sexes were reversed and this were male, MY rating would depend on the composition of the shot). Porn? One of these days I'm going to start posting links to porn so that some of some people can start to figure out the difference. Aesthetically, I'm gonna give this a 5 (I like a lot of your shots better). Originality? Also a 6 (lighting is good, shadows are interesting, positioning in the upper left corner is interesting...but mostly, that you saw beauty and had the courage to shoot it, where as most people would chicken out).

Very nice, a classic pose, great tones and lighting, good composition. Excellent capture.

Pedro, I love this! I always have looked for a shot like this, but never seem to find one. The colors loog good enough to eat (stir fried chairs :-D). The composition is also fantastic.

Yeah!!!! I definitely like this one better than the B&W! I especially like the washed out color of the buckets and baskets, it really captures the reality of the scene (and one I see every copuple of days in Taiwan). Her FACE though, is fantastic!

I completely disagree, I *think* I would much prefer this shot in color (seeing similar scenes 2-3 times a week for 10 years, lol). I think the color would bring out a vibrancy in the shot and give the woman with the wonderful face a more immediate context (just my opinion and what I woulda done, but I REALLY like the shot, even in black and white).

I love this shot, with the exception of the balcony in the foreground :-). Everything else is fantastic.

Great story! Even greater shot!

What's with the low rating average? I like this shot (admitedly not an Ansel Adams, but for my taste this shot is very enjoyable). The first thing I see is a wet dog (and one who seems quite happy being wet), then my eye tries to focus on the woman out of focus in the background. It is an interesting contrast, eye drawn to the foreground, but wanting to see the background.

I like the overall composition, but am not crazy about the light in the upper right (probably couldn't do anything about it, it was there and shooting it out wasn't an option). This shot, unretouched, would be MUCH more to my taste.

Incredible shot!

GREAT color and composition!

Max, this is one that I can't quite figure out WHY I like it so much, I just do (and that was before I read about the shot).

I love this shot, what my eye was drawn to was the crack in the wall by the third step from the bottom, that crack must have a story :-). The colors and textures are wonderful.

Great composition and feel to this, especially for those of us who haven't had lunch yet (and who are several thousand kilometers from a really good bakery). The details in the wood, the flour really make this image for me :-).

Great composition, and fascinating shoes :-).

Stuart, what exactly is "natural" about any "pose?" The vibrant colors in the pants contrasting with the dark greens is one thing. The lines and shadows of the nude is another. What I really liked was the color and the initial impact (I'm not very good at analyzing WHAT or WHY I like many shots, I just *do*, simple as that).

THIS is the shot of a lotus that *I* have been trying to get. Incredible, congrats!

Although this shot doesn't do it for me, it is a particularly original use of the medium.
