Boy, if this shot was sharper, it would be a KILLER shot. That's what makes it just an average shot for me.
-
All has been said, I like the bordered version better also. This would definitely be a photo that I'd put on MY wall :).

Hmmm, I really like the model's expression. I agree that the background detracts a little for my taste, but I still think it is a very good photo. I almost bought the same couch, by the way. I actually would very much like to see this in black and white, I wonder if the background would be better as a B&W shot...

The shadows in the foreground seem awfully deep.

Great shot, even with the uncooperative duck :).

I'm a recently "retired" musician, a guitar player (hence the re-awakening of my interest in photography...when one can't be on stage, one HAS to do SOMETHING). This shot captures the energy and feel of playing on stage (the Marshall head and 2x12 cabinet behind him really make the picture). I saw this picture and was hit with a bit of regret in turning down a recent request for a tour...for me, at least, this is a very powerful image :). Very good shot.

This shot is in the top 300 for the last three days :). I stand by my 7/7. Firmly. Anyone who risks life and limb to get a shot like this is either crazy or an artist (or both)...
-
I normally don't rank kid and baby pictures this high, they are just so darned easy to take :). HOWEVER, this picture really captures pure happiness. The angle, and the chance catching her playing with her foot (can you tell I'm a father ?)...fantastic shot!

From a technical standpoint, I dunno...but any picture that makes me burst out laughing and catches the essence of "pissed off cat" deserves a 7 on aesthetics and creativity (and I speak as someone who has been owned by cats for 30 years).

My first reaction was "This is the most powerful photo I can recall seeing." Simply stunning, the emotional content and impact are so far beyond...
...well, very, very good picture.

I hate to think about what went on in those halls.

As a "retired" perfeshunal musician, and someone who now tries to get good concert shots (sometimes), this one really captures the feel of the music. Very good!

I'm shooting quite a few live bands and keep wishing the monitors weren't there. Hard to get a really good shot from audience perspective with this hulking black box in the foreground.
-
Very nice colors, the horizon seems tilted though and I'd prefer to see more definition.
-
I like it, but think the other one is much more to my aesthetic taste :).
-
Very cool shot. I like the makup, it reminds me a little of some of the classical Chinese paintings.
-
Excellent shot!

I think tilting can be interesting. I think it works well on this.
