acearle 1 Posted March 2, 2004 I wish the power line wasn't there, but you've done a good job of incorporating it in the composition so it isn't too distracting :). Link to comment
jimmcnitt 0 Posted March 2, 2004 Magnificent photography. Because of the way the power lines cut at an angle, I find they actually add to the scene. All three of your recent images evoke strong moods. For me this one is especially powerful. --jim Link to comment
robertbrown 1 Posted March 2, 2004 Beautilful tones and overall composition. Those wires are a minor annoyance, though they don't spoil this fine shot. Link to comment
brian_perry 0 Posted March 2, 2004 Yeah I felt the powerlines didn't take away from the shot so I actually left them there rather than photoshoping them out which wouldn't have been very difficult. Link to comment
WJT 653 Posted March 3, 2004 What is it about a well done MF photograph that makes even its tiny thumbnail jump out and grab you? This is truly wonderful work! From the tones in the sky to the action in the sea, I can see only the beauty of Ireland. Regards. Link to comment
macgregor_anderson 0 Posted March 4, 2004 Fantastic picture. I don't have any critique to add...but I do have a question. Did you scan this as a negative, and if so, was it on a flatbed, a film scanner, or a drum scanner? Or did you print it first and scan that? Really curious how you got such great results! Thanks. brian_perry 0 Posted March 4, 2004 MacGregor, I scanned this with a flextight (film) scanner. Link to comment
cristina_fumi 0 Posted March 4, 2004 I love the mood it gives and the reflection of the light in the water. It is a great shot. congrats. Link to comment
mnigro 0 Posted March 6, 2004 Brian: I really like this image. I would be a 10/10 if the exposure were a couple of seconds longer so that the water looked as if in motion. Anyhow, well done. Link to comment
