Nice shot except for the spot color.
-
Loose the watermarks.

Well Done. Good eye to capture this.
-
What's up with the color shift in the background pavement?

Interesting...the Sun actually does not obscure any of the 'canyon'. It's not really a canyon either. The prints is about 6" X 32" in size and the wimpy PN view does it no justice. As does PN do for it's patrons.

Go shoot this with the ISO cranked down and long exposures to try to eliminate the people :-) I like it when I can't see the seams on the bean thing.
-
oh yeah...6/6.

I like these as a series. The scale if the item is really odd and well captured here.

Thanks for your comments! - David

I sort of like it in pink myself.

I took a number of pictures of Beth. This one with one of her dogs
near sunset at the graves of her favorite dogs can tell a few
different stories - which is why I like it. Best viewed large if
possible. She had a drink in her hand and a pistol in a shoulder
holster (for rattlesnakes I was told).

Good study in texture and light.

Shoot this on a foggy morning when the fog is just about to break and you'd have a 6/7 7/7. Nice tones. Too bad the sky is washed out in the upper right corner.
-
Well balanced. Nice tone. The large white area at the bottom right keeps pulling in my eye and is a bit of a distraction. I think theimage would be as effective if cropped off the bottom a bit.

Ho Dorian, "blown out" refers to the highlights or the high key areas of the image. In the background this is the street and sky as the detail is "blown out" or overexposed in this case. For the foreground the reflection on the mixing board is also over exposed. If either the foreground or the background had some more detail then I feel this image would have more to offer me. IMO is In My Opinion, or another way of saying this is all just my opinion and take it or leave it as it is just my opinion. I hope that helps! Thanks for posting- better to email me specifically for a a question than just leave it dangling in the portfolio reviews as I rarely read them, but I was cleaning up some portfolio work this evening and saw your comment. Thanks again.

Good expression. The halo of light center on his face makes me think more about the lighting than about what the subject might be thinking.
-
Good shot and a great backdrop for an environmental portrait. The bright white item at the lower first-third is a distraction. Great detail in the shadows.

Comments are most apprecitated.

A good and different view of a very popular subject.
-
Good. I hate the titles in large mats. but I'm only rating the image here.
-
An interesting story and a very good stretch.

Hmmm..disturbing face with disturbing lighting? That works even if I don't like the image.
Who's out there Johnny?
