Now if I can only define why I like it...

What am I looking at? A picture of an acrylic painting done by the photographer? I don't understand what I'm suppose to rate.

Nice abstract. Nice that the corner stayed flat too! great detail in the ice.
-
Nice capture, good crop. IT does a nice job conveying emotion.

Well done. A tough subject to shoot. The person makes this as it provides scale to this enormous landscape. Good in B&W.

Doors are shot a lot. This is a prime example of that average door shot. There is lots of interesting bits of this door that might make very interesting photos. The door buzzer and a bit of the door. The woodgrain looks unusual. The latch, the iron detail could also be interesting. Not a bad shot but uninteresting.

Nice capture. Unposed. Good exposure and getting some lighter area behind her head. Simple and effective.
-
A cloudless sky near sunset. I felt it better to crop out most of it.
-
Nice shot. Did you really get blue walls in there? Not that I mind as the image is very nice. Just curious. Cheers!

Isn't this WAY over saturated? I don't recall seeing the rocks as glowing lava. Nice composition nonetheless.

Too much of a crop. Too dramatic? Stinky? Should I spend a day
turning this into a 12x36in. (30x90 cm) print?
-
BTW: Jpeg compression on PN really dulls the contrast in the
contrail. I tried to compensate for it and repost but it still
messes it up a bit. Another one from the Southwest series. Thanks
for your comments!

A wildlife photographer of the year type of shot. Nice!

Great cature of the moment.

Comments Please?

I was very attracted to the white tumbleweeds and the contrast they offer against the red of everything else. What would you change to make it better?
Part of the Southwest series. Please take a look at other images.
Thanks! - David -
Composition is almost there however the wing is clipped. Also, the detail in the wing is blown out, possibily the head is a bit out of focus. Check out the BBc wildlife photographer of the year for great photos and inspiration! http://internt.nhm.ac.uk/cgi-bin/wildwin/2003/

I enjoy the shadow of the water in this image.

Certainly a different shot of The Eye. I don't know if this is a good shot or not. More original than aesthetically interesting.
