I think this is why people try not to let kids come to a wedding!

Edward, this has a REALLY 70's feel to it for some reason. Was that intentional?
I think it's the lighting and coloring of the skin, maybe it's too red?
The cropping seems awkward to me, the hands especially. I also don't care for ther making eye contact with someone out of frame. It takes me out of the photo too.
I suppose it's fine as a documentary type shot of who was there.
My two pennies anyway. :)

Nicholas, when i saw the thumbnail of this I thought, "hey, I have one like this too" hehe. Thanks for crediting me, but I got the idea from someone/somewhere else, who I'm sure got the idea from someone else, etc. etc. :) Glad to have pased it on.
I like this, it is an effective shot. My critiques for you would be to have maybe gotten rid of the folding chairs, as I think they distract from the elegance of this type of shot. Also, moving them, and yourself over to the right to make a more centered composition, with them right in the middle of the doorway might work better. Your exposure looks good though. Good job.
Warm Regards,

This is pretty good. I'm not sure if I like the tight ctop or if I want to see all of the wings. Your B&W conversion (assuming it is a conversion) looks good, although I think you over did it with the sharpening. My 2 pennies. :)

I find your retouched version too heavy handed for my taste. She looks fake and "plasticky". Also I find her eyes in your retouched version a little bug eyed looking and contrasty. Personally I prefer a few faint wrinkles here and there. Skin smoothing is fine with me, but when it goes too far (sometimes a fine line) I think it can ruin the photo all together. My 2 cents. :)

Thanks everyone. I used a 15mm fisheye ona Canon 5D (no crop factor). I didn't have a tripod so I just put the camera on the ground.
Thanks

Thank you very much!
psssst... I'll let you in on a little secret, this ISN'T infrared! :) I just converted it to B&W from a color image using CS3's "Infrared" setting. Although I had to tweak it a little to get what I wanted. I'm not sold on the quality of it though, I suspect a true infrared image of the same scene might be better. If you could see the full res version you would see what I mean.
Thanks again,
Todd

Wayne, yes there is something about this image! Try cropping off the top to about where the top of the plane (the one on the right hand side) is and I bet you will like it even more. :)

I think this will work much better as a square crop (cropping from the bottom right). This should give you a better leading line with the water leading to the boat. Right now all that sand in the lower right isn't doing anything for you. Also check your horizon, it looks crooked.
You my also want to try a dramtic Black and White conversion as well to see how that looks.
