1.
KEH seems to always have a 125 "ex only" lens listed in the FD section, I've always wondered what they are.

Rockwell (don't hit me) has a write up on one, although I don't quite understand the "no ground glass" and not familiar with the Leicas he refers to. http://www.kenrockwell.com/canon/film-bodies/ex-auto.htm

you can click at the bottom of his article to go to canon museum which has specs

 2.
I've also had this same issue, I encourage the exercises that Chang mentioned, as well as overall body/shoulder exercises, and whatever your therapist says.

My only input is if you find a mouse or trackball you like, buy a second one of the same type as a backup or use on 2nd computer, etc. In this age things tend to disapppear after a couple of years, as in short manufacturing run before features are changed.

 3.
The favorite thing about my 35 SE (purchased new 1981) is that people think it's a toy and "you can't possibly take serious pics with that..." especially with a flash turned upside down

 4.
You can, but the quality won't be as good as a dedicated film scanner.

Before digital I used to use a Canon FD slide copier attachment on bellows with 50mm macro. I used daylight only, entire assembly on tripod pointed at blue sky. Made some nice black and white transparencies from BW negatives, but the quality then and now is nothing like from my nikon film scanners.

Not sure what Nikon made with respect to bellows and film copying attachments, scroll down about 2/3 of way down on right, there is a pic of the canon slide duplicator, you get the idea. http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/hardwares/classics/canonf1/html/macro/macro.htm

 5.
I typed in Foghorn Leghorn and you popped right up.

 6.
F-1n and my 35 f2.0 concave yellowed lens and the 200 f4 macro

 7.
Maybe Sanjay needs the manual to know what the filter size is? ;=)

 8.
I've whacked my T90 intentionally to get the sticky shutter working. :)
 9.
Or you can get a used one from Keh for under $200, with their 6 month warranty. No, I would not bother trying to get repaired.

 10.
Kevin, awesome cam and lens. Inspiring me to dig out my horseman fa for the weekend...

btw, what happened to the OP Frank? I'm calling him late for dinner.

 11.
Lighten your load for mountaineering, try a g-series, g-16 or whatever the current one is, or a g1x for larger sensor. I don't go anywhere I need a rope, but you'd be surprised how having one camera without interchangeable lenses is freeing on outdoor or vacation adventures (I use slrs and mft with interchangeable lenses) .

With respect to your slr, any modern Canon will suffice, if you're happy with the rebel series stick with that, but it's not an elementary question if you're considering xxd or 7d etc. I find the equipment review section on fredmiranda.com helpful and lots of threads here. Tom

 12.
Yes, I would. Looks like you got a deal at Adorama, canonusa.com wants $919 for a refurb 24-105, on top of that they collect tax which would be another 9% for me. I trust Adorama and B&H, I have a sense they have a joint company picnic in the summer, prices usually identical.

 13.
And almost any flash pic will be improved by using an off-camera cord. I usually hold up where I want with my left hand, may not work for your wife's strength though. I use 580ex or Vivitar 283s this way

 14.
Emily, youtube is your friend. You can learn anything software-related, how to cook, make a knife, fix your car...the list goes on.

 15.
Keif, when my 1d2 shutter failed, similar symptoms, I could take the lens off and flip the mirror up and see the out of channel shutter blades. (keh fixed with new shutter blades)

 16.

OK, so we give up our cell phones, cable TV, net access, Gym and other memberships, satellite radio, financial services, etc?

Sounds like a good start to me, well except for the net access and my breaking bad flip phone. The rest you can have, including you people buried in your smart phones all day.

 17.
no worries, it's younger than some of my agfapan 100 4x5 stock I'm working through...

 18.
I think these are screw in, after you release the allen head. Haven't heard Bob's name in a while...

 19.
Frank, you're a long-haired hippie and a genius, but most importantly you da' man! :) Tom

 20.
I have the 17-40 and love it, (more so on FF than 1.3/1.6) but in your case I'd get the 24-105 for versatility. Like someone else commented, though, you need both. I find myself changing lenses a fair amount, swapping out the 17-40 for the 85 or ...egads...50mm. There seem to be a fair number of 24-105s on ebay for sale when I've looked, I think a lot of people buy a Canon body in combo with the 24-105 at a discount, with the intent of selling the lens.

 21.
I was really looking forward to Denis the OP's response, but after 72 hours I've given up hope. I've seen other threads like this, the OP drops a stinkbomb and then leaves others to deal with the consequences.

 22.
Psychological factor? Now I've heard everything. If I'm ever rightly accused of a crime, I want you and that "trust me" guy on my jury...

 23.
Brianne, I don't have any lens advice, but on your second sentence "my camera....problem with my lens...". At this shop (?) did they put on a different lens and did you take some pics to prove that it is the lens? Tom

 24.
Yeah, I thought NAFTA was gonna change all that, guess not...:). Sorry this is waaaaaaaay off topic but JDM google up "Point Roberts WA" for some interesting US-Canada history. I've also read of other state border disputes, I believe there is one between the two Carolinas, down to the historical surveyor monument level, etc.
