Very cool perspective. Traveling through Nepal I wondered how the eyes were painted on the temples, etc.

Thought for sure it was the actor. Nice shot--great lighting. cc

Thanks. Just using late afternoon light, a reflector, blanket over
a cardboard box, and manual settings on the Polaroid. cc

PS work is a bit too obvious. I like the building though. cc

Thanks for your input. I've been trying for over a year to catch
this ruin with a puddle in front. The rainbow was an added bonus.
I shot a roll of 10 frames then stood up to get a wide-
angle "landscape" orientation shot, but the light was gone by the
time I reloaded...... cc

Great shot of a great place. I've been to Hovenweep numerous times this last year. This is a great shot with the colors still present after the sun has set. Nice work. cc

Great. I don't mind the out of focus piece, but you could do a selective Levels/Curves layer over it to darken it a bit. Great vision, great execution. cc

Quite original for Dead HOrse Point. I like the "Portrait" orientation. And you even kept the blue ponds out. Nice shot. cc

Great light. Lovely warm tones on the wood. The "Newness" of the whole cabin though detracts a bit--I'm a sucker for antiques. cc

Lovely composition and contrast. The droplet is subtle, but notable. cc

The rocks seem to be floating--especially the most distant one. The sky seems a bit saturated toward magenta, otherwise, very good. cc

I used a gold reflector to toss some light back on the cactus. What
do you think? Thanks! cc

These are archaic pictographs in a high alcove near Moab. I've
thought about shooting them for a long time and finally got out
there with camera, pack, and good light Easter weekend. cc

I figured out to convert my images to sRGB before saving for web--the colors are correct now. April 4, 2005.

Nice idea. There seems to be a lack of intimacy between the viewer/photographer and the participants though. I wish the point of view was more at the surface level of the water and closer to the two active women. cc

Original work in an over-done locale. Excellent light and colors without the coveted "stream" of light. cc

Super! Your time was well invested. cc

Thanks for the comments--The Sky is white/gray because it is all Fog. Normally there would be an open valley with a steep 800' ridge in the background, but it is obscured by Fog.... A week of "freezing fog" (and little or no blue sky) resulted in all the vegetation being encased in Hoar Frost. cc

Beautiful symetry and movement. The contrast of the glassy pool and water fall are very nice. Foreground seems a bit dark, and I think it could be simplified a bit--no need for the house in the distance or the sides (in the foreground) holding in the channel. Great find! cc
