The color looks fine to me. I'm assuming you upload in sRGB color mode? If not, convert from RGB to sRGB in your editing software and see if there's a change....

    Lovely portrait regardless.

    "Moonstruck"

This is from a recent body of work: Ethereal Days. I am working at night, and photographing reflections of heavenly bodies mostly. Some of the images are multiple exposures including both day and night. Your feedback is welcome. More info here: http://www.petroscans.com

How's this for the Originality debate: This summer I went to Delicate Arch after a rain with a friend (?) who is now accusing me of stealing "her shot".....weird. Anwyay, this is a great image--I've also seen many other versions/variations, but this is great. Maybe the 3-stop filter was too much--one can really see the line. Great DOF and great clouds. I'd be pleased with myself if it were my capture. ~cc
  1. Great Shot...ditto many of the above comments. I also use the 67II for most of my shooting, and I use a near-identical workflow for focusing and DOF. I've started using a 4x Loupe lately for checking DOF with the aperature preview--even if you're using the metered prism with this camera, you can snap it off and on at any aperature, loupe the ground glass, then replace the prism. This allows 2 things--you see the full frame and you can really check your focus via the loupe rather than squinting so much.......

    Congrats!

  2. I didn't notice the stain 'til I read the above comment. It doesn't really bother me. The image is striking regardless. Great tone, great pose. The antique processing makes me envious.

  3. This was following a commercial shoot--high speed dune buggies in

deep sand. Chris (a driver) was having trouble with communication

during the shoot so he duct-taped his ear piece and transmitter to

his face inside his helmet. This is sunset, after a successful

shoot and removing his helmet. Thanks. ~cc

  4. This is a reflection of a natural bridge in a large puddle. I don't

think I used a filter, but I might have used Red. Cropped slightly

from full frame 6x7cm to eliminate a sun glare on the far right side

of the puddle. Your input is appreciated.

    Sanctuary Tower

Your feed back is appreciated. I wasn't happy with the prints of

this image for a while, but I've made some improvements (I hope) and

am interested in feedback. I enhanced the highlights on the ruin

itself and the "sweep" of rock below it. I'm hoping this will draw

the viewer's eye right to the tower, then let you wander throughout

the alcove, but come back to the amazing planning and strategy of

the prehistoric people. Your comments? Also, please view "larger"

    for best detail. ~Chris

  5. Thanks for the great comments on this image. F4 is wide open on the 45mm lens for the Pentax 67. I was shooting a color roll through an identical camera at f8, but they are all horribly underexposed after 15 min and 30 min exposures. Luckily, I set the B&W camera at F4, so the foreground is slightly out of focus, but this allowed the ambient light from the lightning to "paint" the foreground, etc. I almost stopped this exposure at 30 minutes, but I figured, "what the heck...let it ride for another 30."

Lovely composition and colors. I was out this evening and found a similar composition in the mountains here--I hope my film turns out as well as this. Great work. cc
  6. These kids were pretty amazed by the Technology of a 1969 Land

Camera--"No Way! You mean the picture comes right out of the

camera?" Manual flash. My dog was a bit scared, so we had to move

    quickly. Your comments appreciated.

  7. Thanks for your input. I tried to create the illusion of

a "cascade" of columbine here. I would appreciate feedback as to

the composition, etc. The jpeg looks a bit soft, but the film/print

are pretty tack sharp in the foreground. Thanks! cc
