Very nice pose on Sasha. The contrast of the white on white against the white background really makes this image work. The subtle lines created by the different shades of white are very fine.

  7. This was difficult to catch as it took off. Very fast and of course flying away from me.
  8. Giangiorgio.  you appear to be entering your blue period.  I like the simple clean lines of this image.  But there must be a hidden flamingo in there somewhere?

    Anna's Hummingbird (Calypte anna)

A rare sunny day in the Pacific Northwest. This hummingbird has been spending the winter around my home. The last few days it has been below zero Celsius. They are still very active.
  11. Very nice to get both heads so sharp. This is a good behavioral shot.

    Sandhil Cranes in Flight

These are large birds and are found in many places in the US from the Pacific Northwest to the Midwest to the Southwest. They are found in Florida year round. And they do migrate long distances. They can weigh between 3.5 to 5 kg. They are impressive to watch.
  13. Very nice light and detail on this Goldfinch. The perch is terrific . And the square comp works really well. I wanted to see one of these when I was in Italy but never got the chance. They are so different from the American Goldfinch.

    Long-billed curlew

The high key approach along with the wingtip splash is quite original. I really like the wing position, the appropriate level of detail on the bill, face, and body of the Curlew. If I had one criticism, I would prefer to see a little more space on the left with the image being less centered. However this is a nice photograph.

  17. This is nice. Did you consider a vertical crop? Just another preference Real nice job on the white exposure and the feather detail.
