1.
[[There just isn't anything brand new in EF under $200--NOTHING.]]

Of course there is, including a couple telephoto zoom lenses. B&H sells 8 unique items (10 total including grey market) for under $200. EF (not EF-S) mount, all brand new.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?atclk=Lens+Format+Coverage_Full+Frame+Lenses&mnp=0&ci=274&N=4288584247+4108103567+4108103537&mxp=201

  2.
[[Just answering everyones questions can be boring.]]

Given the numerous "clients are angry" posts that come in here, it is not always so simple.

  3.
[[For some reason, it misses focus 10-15% of the time on static subjects.]]

I am glad I am not the only one who has seen this with the 40mm. I kept getting OOF shots just infrequently enough that I thought I was doing something wrong.

  4.
[[so the responsibility is now on me.]]

Why? Why are you not just handing the photographer the files? Do you have a separate contract with the couple?

  5. And another vote for "object in right in front of lens" (probably a bug)

    Video glasse

[[Many thanks for your input! Nobody uses video glasses for his/her photography?]]

You would be better served by a simple external monitor connected via HDMI or, if your camera supports it, remote viewing via your smartphone or tablet.

  7.
A refurbished 7D from Canon with a 1 year warranty is $780.
http://shop.usa.canon.com/shop/en/catalog/cameras/refurbished-eos-digital-slr-cameras/eos-7d-body-refurbished

That is an amazing deal.

  8.
[[if they have a shutter, then the shutter always covering and protecting the sensor, and the filters on it. Or not?]]

If a mirrorless camera has a shutter then the shutter is always open until the time of exposure. Some mirrorless cameras (that have interchangeable lenses) have no physical shutters and only electronic shutters.

  9.

The major version II changes are found in the Nikon mount version of this lens. Utilizing an internal silent focusing motor, the version II lens no longer requires a Nikon DSLR with an AF drive gear and motor to autofocus this lens. Both Nikon and Canon mount versions of the Tokina 11-16 II have improved multi-layer coatings to minimize light reflection "... for slightly improved optical performance." [Tokina] There were no other changes made to the Canon mount version of this lens.

http://www.the-digital-picture.com/Reviews/Tokina-11-16mm-f-2.8-AT-X-Pro-DX-II-Lens.aspx

  10.
[[i don't know how to access the images on the card. Anyone have an idea?]]
If you are looking for pure file management, you will need to use an app that allows you to browse the file structure. I really like "ES File Explorer."

[[i thought the reader would be just like an auxiliary drive on a PC.]]
In a sense, it is. The tablet isn't going to "do" anything unless you instruct it to. Your native photo viewer should have no problem seeing JPG photos on the card. If you're shooting RAW you'll need an app that can either read the embedded JPG image or, if you want to truly edit the RAW file and spit out a rendered JPG, an application like "Photo Mate."

  11.
[[The same way it could harm your eyes if you look directly into the sun for long enough.]]

Even a mild examination of the logic of your statement, Brooks, should have given you pause.

  12.
[[i would never do that even inside a room. Dust.]]

If only there were some simple, less than 1 minute, way to clean a digital sensor.

  13. That response does not even pass the sniff test, Rodeo
  14. Rodeo Joe, What would removing the lens have to do with it? How could the same sunlight falling on your skin harm a CMOS sensor?
  15.
[[This question is not limited to Nikon digital cameras but applies equally well to other digital cameras.]]

Sometimes it can be as simple as making sure you have set the brightness on your camera's LCD to its maximum level.

  16.
[[Or the Canon 1200D - that looks the same as a 600D, but 3 years later.]]
Minus the rotating LCD with 2x the resolution, support for an IR remote and sensor shake anti-dust. :)

The X30 looks great but not at that price given the current options available to consumers.

  17.
Review sites will often provide full size images from their reviews. Dpreview.com in particular is great about this. It would be easy to print one or two of these (perhaps one from low ISO and one from high ISO) at the sizes you want in order to get a feel for the results.

  18.
The moment you say to yourself "I can get that photo later" the subject will change forever.

  19.
[[i have about 4 cards 1MG, 4MG, 8MG & 16MG that I switched back and forth between 3 different cameras.]]

If you share cards between various Canon cameras, and you do not format the cards, the cameras will start the file numbering based on the folder structure in place on the camera. Early Canon cameras only stored 100 photos per folder and thus it was very easy to end up with high folder counts.

  20. Did you use a card from another camera?
  21.
[[and it may be that the filter shows the composition of the light better than you can see with human eyes ....]]

An outside, daylight, test is a good idea.

  22.
Ken,
As I said, there is more than one company making these accessories.

http://goo.gl/8XiZsn
