3.
If it's not being hit, someone should have a talk with the batter about how soon one needs to swing at pitches...

 4.
[[i guess I will wait 24 hours or so.]]

If it were my camera, I would wait longer than 24 H.

 5.
When I was last in the Yellowstone/Teton area, I used a telephoto lens far, far, more often than a wide angle lens for landscape shots. I was there in the fall, however, so isolating color against the landscape was important.

 6.
[[it's something you get over; these lenses are made to deal with heavy use, they do not need to be pampered]]

This.

 7.
In all seriousness, if you have a Canon DSLR that is supported by Magic Lantern, you can easily enable 1:1 crop marks. Or any other crop mark or overlay you want to use.

http://www.magiclantern.fm/features.html
http://www.dslrfilmnoob.com/2012/03/11/magic-lantern-key-feature-overview-noob-guide-part-2/

 8.
[[if all of those criteria do not exist within a single camera, perhaps altering the firmware of an existing mirrorless camera in order to include a 1:1 setting is a possibility.]]

I recommend gaffers tape and a couple of strips of crafting foam. Make your own flip-down 1:1 window over the LCD. :)

 9.
[[Certainly, a single digital exposure parallels this type of sourcing in kind.]]

No, it does not. Not in the least.

The belief that a RAW file can contain more information than it actually contains is a based on a complete misunderstanding of digital photography.

 10.
[[but instead shoot RAW, post processing the EV spacing]]

If you're not shooting multiple exposures then, by definition, you're not producing an HDR image.

 11.
[[Trying to understand how to set cameras to shoot 5/7]]

You cannot. The feature does not exist for those cameras.

Of the cameras listed, only the 5D Mark II is actively supported by Magic Lantern development.

 12.
Where, exactly, is the problem? Are you looking for automated ways to take 7 shots in a row on those cameras without user intervention? Are you having problems processing 7 images into a final HDR? Please provide details.

 13.
Bald Eagle watching along the Mississippi is an excellent choice. They concentrate at locks and dams where the river doesn't ice over. Dubuque is good but most everyone I know heads to the Quad Cities http://www.visitquadcities.com/content/bald-eagle-watching

Edit: and I completely missed that Edward had already said this. Sorry for the duplicate.

 14.
[[i'd have a hard time recommending an S120 when the rx100 delivers so much better results.]]

Indeed. A small sensor compact like the S120, for that kind of money, is a really questionable decision at this point. The RX100 II with the newer sensor is (IMHO) the sweet spot when looking at used or refurbished.

 15.
[[it would have benefitted from some explanations of scientific results.]]

In addition to the video description on the youtube page, the SDO website has a ton of material for your consumption.

 16.
Is the PNG you've uploaded a 100% zoom view of both images?

If you are downsizing the image, then you should choose a sharpening option on export. If you are not downsizing then I would look to see what your image viewer is doing to display your images. I've not seen any loss in sharpness between Lightroom and a full size export.

 17.
The solution to using FD lenses is to not use a Canon DSLR. Look to adapters for mirrorless offerings from Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, etc.

 18.
[[i PP in CS6 and prefer not to use noise reduction software.]]

It may be time to re-examine your bias here.

 19.
The sensors in the new rebels do not have the Dual-Pixel AF like the 7D Mark II and the 70D. They are not the same sensor but Canon claims the live view performance is on par with Dual Pixel AF.

 20.
This is not an anomaly. That 3rd party battery doesn't communicate with the camera. If you want battery info either buy one that supports that feature (assuming they exist), or pay the premium for a Sony battery.

 21.
[[What I personally found works best, is a point and shoot 'waterproof/toughened' camera.]]
[[For a kid or anyone who wants a durable camera I'd consider an Olympus iHS TG "tough" camera P&S]]

Yes, and Yes. While my children (8, 4, and 1) will use a DSLR from time to time, (well, not the 1 year-old) the most used camera is the Olympus tough point and shoot (we have an older TG-820). They can take it anywhere, use it however they please, and I don't have to worry that it's limiting them in their activities. They shoot videos and stills in the snow, at the beach, in the pool, hiking in the woods on a muddy spring day or even just running around the house like little maniacs.

 22.
[[PLEASE RECOMMEND ME LENS FOR LOW LIGHT CONDITION.]]

I recommend a tripod.

Lisa,
Did you read the guide that Kenneth linked to?

 24.
[[Reading comments on other forums, maybe Nikon USA is repossessing the D750 bodies that have not been sold and recheck them to make sure that they are free of this issue before they sell any more of them.]]

http://www.dpreview.com/articles/4170563047/nikon-usa-addresses-disappearance-of-d750-from-retailers
