I don't think making 50MP Dslr camera is quite necessary and the thing about this 35mm
dslr is "price" just far lower than digitalback for MF ($15k to $30k?). Even many pro
photographer still consider the 1DS is more than they need but I guess Canon still
continue to eat up the MF market. Not that I care is just pitty how MF digitalback
manufacturer will compete on the pricewise. And as we can see the price of used 1DS is
hitting the $5k mark (last time I saw on fredmiranda forum).

Seems that Canon really catching up with MF, with the release of their new 1DsmkII with
16.71/17.7?? megapixels, it's just incredible how they did it. BTW here's the link
www. eos-d-slr.net/1ds_mark2.html
Dunno about the price but seems to be the same price with the 1st 1Ds which was $7999,
maybe they will lower it around $6000 who knows?.

Does it really bother you Yakim??? I don't see anyone else so intense to put all forum rules if the moderator don't agree they can delete this, I will delete this but I can not.

Yes,
Indeed looks familiar, cause I'm afraid no response from here so that's why I put my trust on Canon forum much better than this forum as I use Canon and lots of them are using what I'm asking, cheers! :)

Thanks Folks!,
I guess the majority seems in favor with head that is compatible with arca swiss style QR. So that might be my choice, and Yakim I guess I don't have tospent extra $200 for ball head like Arca swiss if you can get less than that for a good ballhead like acratech plus I have to spend another $180 on RRS L plate that's why alternative is always good. BTW I tend to use with some heavy tele lens up to 500/4 IS, I'm going to rent the lens first before I decide to buy. Thanks again guys!.

Folks,
Any suggestions between Bogen ballhead 468RC4 with Acratech? I'm
going to use with my 1DmkII. I'm choosing them since they are in the
same price league, I can not afford arca ball head for now. This is
my first time using ball head so pardon my ignorance. Appreciate all
info and Thanks in advance!.

Just to add some,
Rolleiflex is "Rollei" or "Rollie", Nikon is Nikki :)
-
Onecall.com has it for $1152 shipped, last time I checked but just go ahead to their website cause price is always change on daily based.

Get both, if you don't like one of them sell it!. And if you still don't like the other and get another, and on and on and on and on and on and on...... just like every questions you've posted.

Rollei 6008i or AF period! (2.5 or 3 frames/second), with handgrip, and 6x6. Boy! believe me this is the ultimate handhold MF camera and never let me down.
-
Wee,
I've used Rollei 6008i and never have electronic problem whatsoever and I use also handheld with the handgrip it's just fit my hand perfectly. Try that with 501 CM and you'll never be comfortable. With Tripod any camera will get you better result offcourse no matter what camera brand. If I were u I'll get Rollei despite all the above posters say, it's just Rollei has all the features that hasselblad needs to "add on" and will cost you same or even more.Just my $0.02 and good Luck with your choice!.

No, it's not worth. You'd better get newer model like integral and probably only couple hundred dollar more with PQ lens.

Theo,
I've seen a modified 1DS from Calumet so it becomes a view camera and use large format lenses. Take a look on their website www.calumet.com, might worth and give you other options than the Canon tilt shift lenses.

Cy,
I bid and won the same item from the same seller, his name is "Angel" and live in "Huntington park, LA" area. So the story is I bid on the buy now option and moment after I ended that auction I sent him emails and actually talked with him.Based on what he told me he got this camera from his friend who works at a "camera store" and got a very good deal on this camera but simply too much for him so decide to sell it. So I asked him to send me the actual pictures and serial number of it and he refused me since he thought I was wasting his time. I also asked him about how many actuations on it and he said he doesn't know anything what actuations is, that thing made me believe there was something about this camera and hopefully it's not a "stolen one". I posted this issue on FredMiranda's forum few days ago and several members told me to stay away unless I want to give my hard earn cash to someone. But for $500 less than brand new without warranty better go with real store and I did got it from "Ritz" yesterday and I feel much more safe.

If you unsure about it you could send it back while it's still under warranty.
-
This is just another troll!.
-
Obviously whoever buy those cameras won't think of the custom duty cause their money has no "series".
-
Folks,
In photography world or should I say camera market value, why Leica
still hold their value? compare to other camera even from different
format like Hassy, etc? MF gear resale value is slumping since the
event of full frame DSLR (Canon 1DS). I still couldn't afford my
self to get Leica but still on my wish list though. Thanks and happy
shooting!.
-
I never had an electronic problems with my Rollei. For me Rollei wins hands down but I'd prefer the 6008, if you only work with 120 and no 220 that will be just fine.

If it's from our own community frequent sellers try to look on their feedback here. If it's on
eBay certainly their feedback as well speaks their reputation. I think I know that guy from
south africa, he seems has a very good/excellent feedback on old rollei stuffs, also one
two seller from holland and germany has excellent feedback as well. Good luck but
certainly do the homework on this!.
