Hi all, anyone has ever compare these two lenses? how they perform on film or digital? I know that
Nikon don't make 35/1.4 in AF so this lenses is the only comparable to the legendary Canon 35/1.4 L.
Or if there's any link for this I would appreciate it. As I'm just changing boat to Nikon from Canon
recently so I would love to know some more on Nikon lenses. When there's enough fund sure I would
love to get this lens (for wedding mostly), Thanks all and have a nice weekend!.

Hi all,
I need some suggestion on lenses combo that I will be using on my Nikon F5. Do you guys prefer a
zoom combo which has 17-35 + 35-70 + 70-200 ? or prime combo that has 35/2 + 50/1.4 + 85/1.4?
thanks for info!.

I just bought an F5 very recent and never regret it as when I bought it, it was very mint like
new condition but aside from all cosmetics, I found myself this is the best pro 35mm film
camera I've had and tried Canon 1V and Minolta maxxum 9). So back in film again for me
for the time being and I believe you will be happy with F5.

Any difference in sharpness and quality, etc? I'm a first time Nikon users and I'm using an F5 (well it's
still film for me). Thanks for any infos!.

What camera does he use? Leica , medium format or view camera?. His images are
astonishing and very inspiring, thanks for the link.

Good to hear that as I had few times bought from KEH and it always as stated or even
better (lucky me never had such problem also with any big stores like B&H, Adorama).

What about the upcoming 4/3rd Panasonic Lumix DMC-L1? it's leica glass on it and has
image stabilizer, also the size is almost the same of M6. I don't like the look of RD-1 or
the new one RD1s but the have the advantages of using M glass.

I guess Mark is right, horses for courses and eventho they all do produce stunning images
but again it comes back on what is your final purpose of the camera to be used on. Again
thanks for all infos and I do believe that DMR, 1DsmkII, and all digital medium backs out
there are good.

But on second thought this one is seexxyyy... :D

Trevor, that ALPA sure is a sexy one hell of camera!!! :)
-
Folks,
Put aside all the features on the camera what is your choice of camera based on design
that considered to be sexy? my pick and choices are Leica MP, Rollei TLRs 2.8/3.5F,
Olympus E-1 and the upcoming Panasonic DMC-L1. But if I have to choose only one from
the above mine would be the E-1.
-
I've seen the never ending post by Guy Mancuso on the other forum (Fred's) on DMR vs
1DsmkII. But anyone has ever compare DMR with medium format back? such as phase one,
leaf etc? or if there's any article ever related or written please give me the link. Thanks
Folks and happy shooting!.

I saw that one too but I'm talking of the same size of the real TLR's, also "Blad" is option
for those with film and digital option but I like the feel of handling TLR better, IMO.
-
Guys, I'm so enjoying shooting with my newly acquired "OLD" Rolleiflex and at some point
I was thinking that it would be great to have a digital TLR don't you think?. Put aside all the
AF function, keep it manual as I personally like to do so, Don't really need features like
today digital cameras, keep it simple but it's digital and that will be awesome!.
I guess there are still many photographers using TLR even for their works. BUt it probably
would cost lots of money to do R&D for this kind, but I believe if they do come up with
such camera, people would love to buy. Pixels doesn't have to be big, 10MP would be
good enough, or we could suggest to have interchangeable back like Leica DMR??? anyway
it's only a thought but we never know :)

How do you guys clean a lens mark that is persist or hard to clean? it's like a finger print
mark, I tried almost every possible way but it's still there (I use breath, saliva, lens cleaner
even alcohol). I did the proper way like dust it first with camel brush and then use micro
fiber, lens tissue and last is qtip but aaarghh it won't dissapear, very frustrating :(. Thanks
for info shared.

Thanks B, I found and seems it works well now, I'm off to shoot some rolls today! thanks

Hi alll,
I just got the rolleiflex 2.8E type I and so far the shutter speed and aperture are correct
from 1/500 to B also the light meter read normally. Now I have bit confusion how to set
up the ASA film speed as it is different from the 3.5F I used to have. On 3.5F it has
indicator on 64-400 speed but on this 2.8E I don't see any. I tried the online manual but it
doesn't say anything about it. So any advice on how to put the correct film speed on this
camera? thank you for all the help and really appreciate it!.

Folks,
I just bought a mint and absolutely like new rolleiflex 2.8E type I for $300 (btw is it a good
price?), and I will send it for check up (hopefully I might not need one) to Harry Fleenor or
Ross Yerkes to get a beattiescreen or maxwell so I can have a better focus. I need contact
info for Harry or Ross, anyone knows? thanks for the help!.

80-200 AFS takes lots of batt power?
in Nikon
Posted
Hi all, I just got this lenses today and once I made several test shots with my F5 (perhaps around 20-30
clicks) suddenly my batt (I'm using MN30) turns low/blinking and the AF stop working with the shutter
release won't fire. So I changed the batt with second newly charged MN 30 and it works normally again.
Do you think this 80-200 AFS takes lots of power from the batt? I only had some 10 rolls taken with the
first batt (before I have this lens with me). Or maybe my batt already loss some charge cause of age (I
got it used but in mint condition). How many rolls do you think MN30 batt will hold? Thanks guys for all
infos!.
