George - I cannot take credit for the capture of the old west. It's an 1895 painting by Frederic Remington. My addition was to add the totally out-of-place cat waiting at the gate - for fun and to leave open the caption question for any creative minds. I had a fair number of caption responses mainly on Facebook to the entire series of "cat stuck into a painting." My favourite response for this one, so far, is "I dunno Henry, it's a long ride every time cat wants in or out of the gate. Mebbe we could cut out some kind of flap thing for him." -
Hi Bernado, Thanks - but I can't take credit for the composition and colours. The image is a collage. The background is a painting by Australian painter Frederic McCubbin done in 1889. My only addition - for fun and to leave open the question of a caption - was to put an inappropriate cat image in the bottom left of the scene. I've had various caption suggestions including: a) Man: No tucker tonight cat. Cat: No worries. I already ate. and b) Cat: He ate the dog last night, I wonder if I'm next. -

Daniella, Congrats. Lovely photo and very enigmatic too. I'm caught trying to figure out the relationship between the horse (colt? pony?) and the two people. The woman in the foreground seems to have a close bond with the horse, but the girl (boy?) in the background seems left out. I do like photos with open-ended questions like this. Nicely done. Laurent Renardido is perfectly captured. I've seen your colour versions, they are all good, but colour can sometimes distract. Here the mood seems to be anxiousness, and black and white plays very well to that. Bravo. Best wishes, Peter. -
