Sanford
A tiny living bug under the front element of my Fuji 18-55mm zoom. Other than waiting for it to die and hoping its not pregnant, I don't know what else is to be done.
MichaelChang
Wait till it crawls onto the camera's mirror, then push the shutter, and Splat! JDMvW
For reasons best known to old Cold Warriors, two SLRs I have bought from the FSU came with bugs in the prism. Never seen one in the lens, though.
BelaMolnar
What you see sharply in the viewfinder, lint, dust, bugs, is never in, or on the lens. It is always in the camera focusing screen, prism or on the mirror. Small things in or on the lens never show up in he viewfinder, except, a blob, blur with f/22 or f/32 closed aperture.

andylynn
That's one I've never heard. You'll probably have to send it to Fuji to have the (hopefully dead) bug removed.

Sanford
I little reading tells me we share our lives with millions of dust mites, apparently what this is. Its literally cleaning my lens from the inside by eating the dust. Some even eat mold. Self deception at work.
stephen t
I also don't think that it is in the lens, but rather the prism.

A "Shutterbug"........LOL
howard_m
if its living, I've heard of people putting it in an area w/ sugar water to draw the insect out for food.
Sanford
I'm not sure if it is a dust mite but it is definitely living under the front lens element. A piece of advice-DON'T start reading about these things.
hjoseph7
I had one stuck in the view finder of my Nikon FM2. Every time I picked up the camera, I would see it crawling around inside the view finder. I tried blowing it out with a blower but that did not work...
