  1. Mackinac Bridge at night
  2. I've been busy doing some scanning of slides from the past but I saw this out the window today. Not much air traffic these days over Lake Michigan. This was with the 80D, 100-400 F/4 with 1.4x extender. Live view focusing.
  3. It was Ektachrome but I can't remember which speed. Probably the lowest ASA they had then. 64 or 100? Good thing I'm somewhat organized with some things. I pulled the binder out to look.
  4. I've been doing some scanning lately! Why not! Caracas, Venezuela 1976; Canon Ftb probably
  5. I didn't know he had passed away. I do remember his postings.
  6. If you build anything, post pictures of it plus the resulting photos! Good luck.
  7. I reprocessed the focus stacking photos. I started with focusing at the top of the sharpening steel but didn't include the ones going down to the top of the wood block. This turned out much better, but still not perfect.
  8. I was there in 1976. I remember walking to the hotel carrying a pizza box and the wind blew it away! Its neighbor Bonaire is a great island for scuba diving.
  9. Focus stacking, Canon 80D, 50mm F/2.5 macro and macro focusing rail. Content aware fill did some funny things to the table top. Some areas of this photo are a bit fuzzy.
  10. It's thunderstorm season again in the Chicago area. 80D with Canon 15mm fisheye. The super moon was hiding above the cloud cover. F/11, ISO 200, 20 seconds
  11. Mid '60s, Kodak fixed focus camera that maybe used 620 film. From our apartment.

  13. Yes, attach a thin wire to the negative stage from an electrical conduit, outlet box, or maybe plumbing pipe.
  14. Make sure there is no air movement around the enlarger. Ground the enlarger or negative stage.
