  1. Ah yes reading up on this stuff a bit now. I really appreciate your help here. I don't have any filters at all yet and actually I will need to google everything you have all said haha but thats great for me and part of the learning process so this is great learning experience. I will try this film at the exact same ISO it states and then more out of daylight. I will let you know how the next roll goes, really appreciate your help gang!
  2. Hi there Ah yes I see how this information could be rather useful. Clearly I am new at this haha. OK so I am using an Olympus OM4 and using Kodak Ektachrome 64T it actually expired in 2003 so 17 years old! Example of an image below Normally my film comes out great, i set the iso and in auto its always fine, think the cameras doing a lot of the heavy lifting there but this film seems way more tricky. I also develop with cinestill's color chemicals and normally its excellent.
  3. Hi there I have some old film that expired 10 years ago. To compensate I stepped the ISO down , after shooting and developing the scans are super whited out but clearly the image is there, what does this mean and how can I compensate to get better results? I have 10 more rolls of the same film from the same batch so any help much appreciated, I don't want them going to waste. Also, any other tip for a newbie who is playing around like this please do tell. Best, Scott
  4. Thanks everyone. Doing a test print this weekend and shall give you an update

  6. Hi all OK so I have this new (to me) Bronica ETR and put it together with some pieces from KEH in December with some other parts. I though every thing seemed good but so far not managed to use it due to this issue below. I put the film in the camera back as one should and lined up the arrows with the red line inside, this worked great. I then managed to wind the film from S to 1 that worked great, I then took a photo but when I went to advance it the counter didn't move from one, any idea whats wrong. In multi exposure mode I see it moving the 120 back lever from the body of the ETR when turned there but I just can't get it to advance the film, what could be the problem and what can be done to fix it do you think? Any help for this total newbie who is desperate to get going please do let me know.
  7. Hey there. I do have the processing unit. I’m about to try this stuff out and see how it goes so I will report back. But wondering what iso would you shoot it at trying to ensure an image at the very least.
  8. Hi all, I have a few rolls of Polaroid Polachrome 35mm Color Slide Film HCP-135-12 film which expired in 1993. Its in its box but no idea how its stored but lets just presume in a box under the bed, the boxes are perfect so clearly haven't been moved much. Anyhow, I want to use it and as its ISO 40 I was wondering if anyone could help me guess what speed to shoot this at and whether theres any tricks to using the polaroid processing block that comes with it other than what one would normally do due to its age. Any help to get the best results possible with this old film would be much appreciated.
  9. Orsetto and jamesevidon thank you so mich for your help here. This has really helped clear up what’s been causing me so mich confusion. I am on the hunt for a -1.5 eye diopter. I will update you with my progress here but thanks so so much.
  10. Hi all Just got a Bronica ETR and it looks amazing. This is my first venture into the world of medium format cameras so any pointers would be highly valued. Everything seems fine and have got o ver my first issues such as how do I take the lens on and off etc etc. I'm stuck with one thing however. I have a 150mm lens and for some reason the AE finder (an AE 1 I believe) seemss to work and I can see the lights inside it but I can't see anything clearly in there sometimes theres a tiny red light in the bottom left sometimes its on the bottom right and then can move around the bottom, sometimes its green. i can not see it well at all and wondered what was going on down there and woondered if I should be seeing it clearer or why I might not be. I want to try and make sure I have worked out most parts of the camemra before running off a film and feel I've made good progress but this has stumped me, maybe somethings wrong? Also the camera via the viewer doesn't seem as sharp or as clear as I would expect. The view lens is a -0.5, that the correct one? Any help much appreciated.
