1. Hi all I havd the absolute pleasure in getting a photo of mine made on the awesome Polaroid 20x24 camera using original polaroid B&W, super rare and going to run out very soon. I am getting this framed and as I love the process so much I want to frame both parts of the print so the positive and the negative next to one another. I was wondering if there is anything I should or could put over the negative to protect it further so it doesn't fade completly to black, at the moment you can make out the details of the print and would love to keep that. Any ideas on how to preserve this would be hugely appreciated. Best Scott
2. Hi there I noticed that supersense will atrke your digital image and then make it into a 8X10 or even the legendary 20x24. They do this by putting the ipad infront of the lens much like how the instant lab works. Check their processes here - Make your photos real - SUPERSENSE Photoservice Also I found this. Not digital but a way to turn slide into 8x10. See here - Polaroid POLARPRINTER 8x10 Model 0020 *RARE* Inc. Instructions & 35mm Spacers | eBay
3. Hi @donald_miller|5 Actually you can get film for it. One Instant is now making new film for this format but its quite expensive but worth a go I'd say. One Instant Before purchasing make sure you do this: Clean the rollers in your camera and also make sure you have a fresh battery for it. Its a weird battery (found under a flap on the side of the camera. ALthough odd its still possible to get one! Here it is Exell Battery A19PX 4.5V Alkaline Battery Also before using definetly watch a video on how to load and use this film as its a little unusual. Fun though! Hope this helps Best Scott
4. Hi all I just created simple DX code stickers for anyone needing specific ISO speeds set on their cameras and can't do it manually. I put up speeds from 25-5000 up for sale on a new Etsy store I setup. Any questions please ask. Best Scott

8. Hey all and thanks for all the advice. Dan_Fromm, I totally agree. During this lockdown in NYC I've gone camera mad, I was given an old 4x5 and I'm just loving it so playing with that right now but my dream is to use an 8x10 for polaroid shots but I won't rush into it and I appreciate the advice so much. I'll certainly do my research. I have an 8x10 camera minus the lensboard and lens which is why I wanted to know fi one could purchase anything on the cheaper side, its a confusing new world and want to make sure i get a lens and lensboard that actually works on the 8x10. Yep conrad_hoffam, the new polaroid company make them by hand in europe, its so cool they are making them, I have to try it although it'll be an expensive purchase to buy the film so I'll wait until I feel comfortable taking an OK shot with it
9. Ooh that sounds fun Conrad_Hoffman!!! I don't even know what that is yet haha
10. Hi there I have a bunch of old 4x5 Polaroid sheets where the reagent chemicals have dried up. I am wondering if they are able to be salvaged if I replaced the pods and reagent with a DIY one. It seems a waste to throw them away when I could have fun experimenting. Obviously I would have to take off the original pod (easy as its so loosely connected) and replace with a diy one (probably hard) in the dark but my first question is are the polaroid receptor sheets treated so they are not sensitive to light anymore? If so there are loads of old peel apart and 4x5 packs that are dried up out there so salvaging these might be an idea, I have 3 boxes myself. I'm hoping they would be good for a Diffusion transfer reversal technique and be ok if they saw the light and not affect their use as the receptor in the transfer process if they were exposed to light. i am aware the negative can't be but this sheet? I am playing around with making a little reagent so if anyone has a formula or great tips for this do let me know. Also when I mix the carboxymethylcellulose it doesnt combine with the liquid so wondering if I need to heat this up to get it to become a viscous jelly and if thats OK to do.
11. Hi all I have a Burke and James View Camera and really would love to use this camera. My aim is to take 8x10 Polaroids with it so need a few more pieces but hopefully on the way there. I really need to get a lensboard and lens for the camera, is it possible to source any of these kind of cheaply? I am having trouble sourcing these and not sure what I am looking for. I'm new in the game and excited to learn how to use this camera! Any help much appreciated.
12. OK proud to say I've taken a few photos now and I am so freaking happy with this camera. Its all new to me but think I'm slowly getting th hang of it thanks to everyone here. You have to remember it took me longer than I'd ever share with you to just open the thing to reveal the lens haha. It takes me ages to set this up, get it right and make a shot, how on earth did Weegee do it on the fly???? Anyway took this shot on my exercise walk in Forest Park, Queens, NYC a couple of days ago. Lots to learn but so much fun!
