Hi Ned, unfortunately I've been smoking nothing! - it addles up the brain don't you know?
Good to hear from you. - Nick.

Hi Misha
I love the mess, the informal feel - but most of all your self-portrait. This gives a pleasing self-referential quality to this image.
7/7
Regards, Nick.

Thanks Ben, thanks Pete - Sorry to be so obscure!
Yes the title is indeed the main psychoactive compound in the street drug Ecstasy, i.e. M.D.M.A. - The photograph is a detail from the door to "Fabric" which is one of the biggest (and currently popular) clubs on the London Dance scene. Thousands of people queue up to go clubbing in Fabric each friday and saturday night, and statistics suggest that at least 60% will consume at least one tablet (pill) of "E" to enhance their Dancing experience. Fabric is round the corner from where I live, and the image stems from the fact that last weekend when I was walking home from the pub (a time when such clubs are just opening), an itinerant drug dealer enquired if I wanted to buy any pills - I'm a 34 year old doctor for heavens sake! - I didn't know wheather to be flattered or insulted, needless to say, I just went home to bed having consumed far too much of my own favorite drug, namely alcohol!
On reflection, I found the whole insident rather amusing, so the next day I took this photograph. - The reflected image is that of the Meat Market of West Smithfield, along with orange light from a street lamp.
All things considered, I quite liked the results. Thanks for putting up with the unnessessary intrigue!
Best wishes, Nick.

Hello Mark - I cannot make up my mind as to whether or not the mottled light works here - on balance, I feel as though it does not. - I do however love her expression!
Regards, Nick.

Hello Karl
I like the tight crop, however, I think that the composition would be stronger if you cropped out the mouth!
Regards, Nick.

Nice composition, and a bold use of empty sky!

Hello Andrew
Nice observation of these jolly colours
Regards, Nick.

Hello Alec
I like the composition with regards to your use of the prominant and well lit path to lead the eyes into the frame.
Regards, Nick.

Hi Pete, I'm glad that you love my silly old fashioned glasses (I don't wear them that often, but I have been told that they are cute!) - the image isn't flipped, I think that there is a mirror reflection in this particular pub! - this photograph essentially represents a curiosity - yes it is a daft self portrait, but more importantly it represents my first DIGITAL offering, all be it from a camera phone!
Fond regards, Nick.

Hello Pete
This is fantastic - from the thumbnail, I thought this Bolivia or some such - I certainly didn't expect it to be the site of a very happy Geography feild trip I was on in 1988!
Wonderous!
Best wishes, Nick.
P.S. you have captured the glacial drumlins in textbook fashion!
