cappoldt 0 Posted March 3, 2006 This one works, too! Her arm and pants, in the shadow areas, on my monitor anyway, do look a little flat, though - is there a way to selectively aply a litle more contrast in those areas? Great job posing her - that's my bump in the road, now - figuring out what position to put people in. Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted March 3, 2006 Hi Chris. I tried to burn in some more contrast there last night before I posted today because I saw what you see. I'll give it another shot tonight. Think I was just tired ;)Mark Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted March 4, 2006 Tried to bring out some more contrast. Hope it's worked. Looks dodgy on this monitor I'm using (I'm at an internet cafe). Link to comment
nicholasprice 0 Posted March 4, 2006 Hello Mark - I cannot make up my mind as to whether or not the mottled light works here - on balance, I feel as though it does not. - I do however love her expression! Regards, Nick. Link to comment
markonestudios 4 Posted March 6, 2006 Hi Jim, Hi Nick. Thank you both for your comments. I appreciate it a lot. I like the mottled effect, but didn't like that the shadows on her right arm were so strong! Guess that's why outdoors photos get tricky, because nature is unpredictable! Cheers, Mark:) Link to comment
colin carron 58,916 Posted March 7, 2006 Style and elegance! The shade is a good idea for reducing the contrast between light and shadow. I think the mottled idea is a good one but with a different pose. She is in a fairly classic pose where I would expect classic lighting to bring out the form. But it is good to go against expectations sometimes! Link to comment
shambhala 0 Posted March 25, 2006 Well done, Mark! All the information we need is there. Check the 'funny' shade in her folded arm though - looks like you were not too careful with the Healing Brush... Link to comment
