Hello Ned
...again, the textures here are wonderful! - beautiful in black and white!

Ned, I love the humour here - it has the feel of a Richard Avedon!
Best wishes, Nick.

Ned, I'm not so sure about the pose, yet the lighting is remarkable!

Hello Ned
I love the depth of texture that you have achieved here, and the simplicity of the composition works equally well!
Regards, Nick.

Hi Ned
A wonderfull nauralistic feel has been created here. The background is however a little fussy for my tastes, yet this does place the portrait within the social setting where it was taken which may be of great importance to the sitter and to the photographer!
Regards, Nick.

Pete, this is a great shot, yet it has an overwhelming architectural feel - this I like very much, but wonder what the lighthouse would look like if it were a little off centre in the frame, in order to include more landscape which I feel may add vital ubiety to your shot?

Hi Pete
There is touching characterisation in this subtle, low key portrait. This is social commentry at its best!

PS you should scan more of your previous work, there are some wonderful gems here!

Hello Pete
This is a rare and gentle treatment for a hard and cold subject. The grain gives a pleasing nostalgic feel, and the haze in the backgroung adds to the temporal ambivalance of your shot!
A timeless documentry shot!
Regards, Nick.

Hi Pete
A wonderful winter scene. You have brought warmth of colour to the coldest of landscapes.
Regards, Nick.

I forgot that everything in America is much bigger and much better than anywhere else in the world! We therefore must agree to disagree, and get on with taking wonderful photographs!
Fond regards, Nick.

This Aswan cemetery had a wonderful and peaceful feel. For the past five thousand years the
Egyptian's have taken great importance in the burying of the dead. The religion may have
changed since ancient times, but their honour and respect for their ancestors is as
remarkable as ever.

No, not a snapshot - a wonderful, and self referential study in scale and texture!
