  1. Bill, Thank You for the kind help & encouragement on the OA use. The same guys that pointed me towards HP5/PyroHD had high praise for it. If I recall, it has to be made from separately purchased reagents. Rick - the Berger Pancro results are sweet. You weren't kidding about grain having been tamed. The crop looks really good. 'Hope all have a fine Friday & some fun this wkend.
  2. Mike - I've got the same lillies in my yard - not seen them elsewhere. The locals called them skunk lillies. James - Noxubee shot is superb. 'Low key but delicious tones. The Corn shot is delightfully crisp - like the Noxubee. Bill, the yard/chord and veggie shots are sweet. 'Heard good things about that Obsidian Aqua. 'Looks a little exotic, maybe demanding on metering a dilution - w/ the recommended 1ml pipette. Rick, those are just nasty crisp & wonderful tones (sigh) as usual. Locomotive shot is particularly good. That wide lens looks like a hoot. Erko - the portrait & cat shots are wonderful. Wide glass? 24mm? The std. 50 won't focus that close on my 1.8 Ais.
  3. One of these days I'll get my '57 Chevy shot. :)
  4. Ross, that chopper shot seems decent. "I guess that is photography however and you try something new and take your lumps and do a better job later on." Anyone who won't admit this is either lying or has alzheimer's. If there's any part of photography I've mastered - its the 80-90% good shot with fatal flaws. That 57 chevy shot last yr - I lost the whole roll & don't know how. We take our lumps. Its been so helpful for me when guys would talk about their foul-ups. That way I didn't feel so inept - and my lumps & learning curve was something everyone gets to battle. Your shots w/ that Mami are wonderful. Keep having fun. Don, I'd love to find a bulk film cheaper than HP5, but I've yet to be that happy with anything else. A side note - HC-110 is super for its versatility, longevity. But virtually none of my best shots have been with it. If its what you know/like best - it makes perfect sense to use it for the standardized test developer. I'll be following what you find, as I'd love to find an economical bulk 400 film also. I'm paying about $67/100'rl locally. Some very experienced guys (including the wonderful Tony Lockerbie) suggested the HP5/PyroHD combination. I have to say its been awful good to me.
  5. Ross (and Wouter & Rick) Thank you. I love mechanical stuff. This wkend will be more normal stuff - car show. 'Everything from wild paint on hot rods to concours resto of 20s & 30s classics in Woodland Washington's 'Planters Days festival. There's a particular composition (nothing earth-shaking, but I like it) of a '57 Chevy hood that I have in digital, but not film. Been trying to get the film version for about 18 mo.
  6. Wonderful images everyone
  7. Lousy light, but a fun sight. BNSF bridge 9.6 (miles from Union station, Portland) Across the Columbia. 'Swing bridge that pivots on center piling to let river traffic through. 'Shown about 3/4 closed. f22, 16.5s
  8. 500cm/80/16mm tube FP4 scanned as color neg.
  9. Rick VN - nice job w/ the Graflex. Richard A - terrific shot of the truck. Tones, highlights (nicely controlled), dof all work for a nice composition. Bill B - nice foodie shot. Tony E - you live in beautiful country. I was one of the kayaks a few decades back out of Smallpox bay on the West side of San Juan Is. Erko - #31 sunset is nicely done, quite handsome.
  10. 2" tall *working* miniature air motor
