On this particular day it was rather windy (which it is on most days) due to an approaching storm which prevented the smoke from settling in one place. I will post a slow shutter speed shot later to see just how fast the clouds were moving. On our last day, when the wind died down, it got very very hazy and you could smell the smoke in part of the park.

Wonderful light and a great view from Glacier point. I have hiked and backpacked all over the place in Yosemite and love the park. Keep up the good work.

Glacier National Park has always been one of my favorite places to shoot. The unique geography of this region can produce some stunning light under the right condition&such was the case on the morning I took this photograph. Low humidity combined with a clear horizon and just the right amount of cloud cover produced one of the most stunning sunrises I have seen.

Very Nice concept....creative, original work. How about a Angel Mask to go along with the devil?

Interesting idea...Very original and colorful. Have you consider implementing the same idea with different moods, poses from our favorite model? - Jay

Thanks for the comment on this photograph. I always wear water shoes when shooting in the water, so soaking shoes doesnt matter. Yes...they were soaked.

After a brief brilliant green display in the short California winter the moss on Pebble Beach turns bright white as summer approaches. The patterns created by this white moss on the dark rocks surrounding an oval tide pool caught my attention on this trip. As the clouds start to put on a show of their own, I used a ND 0.9 Hard Grad filter mounted on a wide angle lens capture this photograph.

Brr....It look cold outside. This is very nicely done. The textures and feeling captured in this shot are wonderful.

I agree with Pnina's comments. Overall it looks like artwork rather then a photograph.

Very original and very well executed photograph. I love the title as well...it conveys the emotions felt by the viewers.

Very nicely done. One question why did you cut the top half of the flowers? I like the off-center composition and smooth curves.

When it pours, the cascading water falls of Baume les Messieursare are a site to behold. This photograph of lower falls of Baume les Messieurs taken in early summer when the melting snow and the spring rains had created high water levels in the valley. Complementing the waterfall was a carpet of green laid down by a wet spring and mild temperatures.

To some extent composition is an art rather then a exact science. Besides classic rules of the third, location and surroundings have an effect on composition. What a viewer cant see on the photograph may effect the choice of composition as well. For this photograph, I wanted to display the blue sky and the yellow flowers growing in the run off on the side of the barn. Had I placed the barn more to the right those flowers would have been covered up. Also there were some power lines to the right that I was trying to avoid. All those factors dictated my choice of composition for this photograph.

Good point. When i processed this photo, my photographic skills let much to be desired. At the time I processed this photo, I really like its vivid "Velvia" effect, but if I were to reprocess this image the colors would be a lot closer to its natural appearance. Thank you for that honest comments.

Very Very nicely done. I also like the execution of the photograph. My only suggestion would have been to wait a moment longer to snap the shutter so the person on the street would have had time to move a bit to the right and uncover the poster completely. Well Done Paula.
