Some wildlife photis from me this week. Below is the floppy eared cow (floppy earedcowus) from south east asia. Despite its cute appearance it is one of the most brutal creatures alive. See how, once it gets close to its prey, it uses its floppy ear to cover and protect its left eye (the right eye is purely cosmetic) before it attacks. Fortunately, i was riding pillion passenger on a Kawaki 750 and managed to avoid being shredded by the cow’s razor sharp hoofs. The unfortunate creature below was not so lucky.

What type of photography would you like to try?

to me the warmer version looks closer

Also, the getting closer/warm thing was a reference to a game we played as kids where we had to search for a hidden object. The only clues we were given as to the location of the object was being told how warm(close) or how cold(not close) we were. Maybe, subconsciously, it was the word association of the game that made the reversed images look odd (I think the game was called “hunt the thimble”)

I think you are right but when I had the temps reversed (warmer further away), it looked a bit odd when the photos were viewed together. Or maybe, that was just me :)

I’ve been experimenting with temperature (or is it tones, I’m not sure). Notice how I used a cooler temp for an object further away and a warmer temp to emphasise getting closer.
