    the No Words forum is very popular with people wanting to show their work but “no words” is the order of the day. other forums have “photo(s) of the week”. i gather the gallery is, at present, a work in progress but improving all the time.

    Thanks, All good stuff. I got a bit sidetracked with Ed’s comment about TLRs using square because it’s difficult to change the orientation on them so I looked into why TLRs were designed like they were. Then I thought about the mathematics (aesthetics, permutations) of cropping S->R vs R->S (R = rectangular) and I’m still unsure about that but it’s good to know, by and large, anything goes.

    Sorry, Dieter, I wasn’t being facetious or anything. As to how the phishers got the email addresses originally, I, too, am in the dark. (although I do have my suspicions)

    I’ve had these 3 photos on my phone for a while which suggests i wanted to show them at some point. I can’t think why atm :-)

    And they are getting better all the time with advances in hardware and especially software, weather sealing. I’m still struggling with ergonomics though.

    Interesting that Phil was taught to crop from sq to rectangular rather than the other way around given that more cameras shot rectangular natively (I think???) Phil, did your teachers expect you to crop?
