  1. It's the Personal Details in white font on a dark background running across the page
  2. Andrew, when you hover over your name click on signature and you should see a screen with Personal Details along with Conversation and a couple of other items. What happens when you click on Personal Details?
  3. If I click on signature I get the above and there is a Personal Details tab but when I click on that I get the permissions problem. I'm not being logged out as I can go back and edit my Signature
  4. I'm trying to bring up Personal Details so I click on my screen name 'naffy' but there is no Personal Details option available. Does anyone else experience this?
  5. well, i've just tried to access my Personal Details and got an error saying "I don't have permission to view this page or perform this action" <br><br> So, maybe changes we make aren't persisting because of a permissions bug
  6. basically, how do I do it? I've uploaded a file but nothing happens. the 'Avatar' button is disabled.
  7. to set up a watched forum go to that forum and click 'watch forum'. you can then specify what notifications you want to receive and how to receive them. You have to do this for each forum
  8. Some of the forums in the watched forums list have incorrect dates for the last post in that forum. The icon for such forums appears disabled (grey) rather than the normal blue. In my case the forums are Beginner, Canon EOS and Olympus and they all have a last posting date of November Not a deal breaker just a notification.

    testing upload

i seem to have got the hang of uploading a photo
  10. @Howard, a few of Sony's "cheaper" lenses get bad reviews based on obscure parameters but I have found the 16-50, 16mm and 20mm perform more than adequately due to in-camera optimisations. nice roof top scene
  11. post a recent pic or follow the theme of 'beast street'<div></div>
  12. <i>Can't really see how the two can be considered at the same time since they have virtually nothing in common: 1" sensor vs APS-C, zoom lens vs fixed focal length</i> <p> They are very similar, sony has focal length of 24-70 but the GR can be cropped to give a working focal length of 28-70 easily(it even has built in 35/50 mm crop modes), very similar size, sony fast AF vs Ricoh snap focus, similar flash capabilities, Sony's EVF is probably the biggest difference between the two although you can buy an optical finder for the Ricoh. Can't comment on Video.
  13. Both are very good. I'd toss a coin to decide. Although if money is a problem I'd probably choose between Sony and the cheaper GR first version unless there is something specific in the second version you need.
  14. Richard, I have the Sony SEL20f28 (20mm f2.8) and I use it on the sony a6000. It's small, light, comes with a dedicated hood and I like it. Not too expensive either
  15. I working my way down Morocco's atlantic coast Today I am having to endure 20C and sun<div></div>
  16. I'd like to see a weekly B&W thread for all genres but where does one put it?
  17. Leslie, are you referring to the monochrome monday threads in the s&d forum? if so, they aren't film only.
