  1. Ricardo: Thank you for your comment :) I agree with that it breaks some commonly used rules, i felt as it seems you did that it somehow works in this image, so i like it a lot actually. Was really one of those moments that you are happy you bring the camera along and actually executes and take a photo. I felt she looked so lonely i the midst of those drops, like it the had no one and was very alone. It was those emotions that i felt looking at it afterwards.

George: Thank you:) Glad you like it. hehe about those lines, it is just one of those things i added as a creative touch of mine. My original thought was something dark an ominous and inspired by Edgar allan Poe or H.P lovecraft and except using the Noct which i think really sets that tone perfectly without even adding anything, i just added those lines as something of an "occult" feeling, not sure it gets interpreted as such from others, but that was my own thoughts anyhow ;)

i really like the atmosphere in this image. It takes you back in time somehow. I dont mind the composition of the big rock in the foreground, although id have liked the castle to be a bit bigger( i realize that might be difficult though :P ).

    Really cool image.

Just passed this street in Paris, and loved the "art framework" the things around

provided when suddenly this person adding to the mystique and also being very

similar in looks to Andy...weird ;)

  2. I like this one alot. Partly because of all the thoughts and levels of thoughts you get from looking at it. Also the atmosphere in it is very dual with the background and that interior hitting you at the same time.

    Great work.

    Thank you Jack.

I liked their expression a lot in this one. It was one of those rare instances were you just pass something you see, a background or a location and my daughters jumped in front and i got this and a few more but in the end i settled for this one. I like the colors and contrast to the rather "bleak" scenery behind them.

Thanks Jack :) Yeh this was a friend of mine that braved this tough contest with his work associate hehe. It was quit brutal, so at the end we had time for a quick picture at the podium where people jumped up to take a quick snap, i took this one and he was happy for that afterwards. But i think the emotions you see were very real, they felt like brothers after that. Very happy:)

I thought about me not being here too much yesterday. And as i said earlier i try to be, im patiently waiting for them to launch the new site here on Photo.net. The colors are still a bit off for me in some pictures and i never got an answer from them or help to solve that.

It looks fine on Flickr or the swedish site im on, so must be something here. Still i will be here from time to time, love looking at other peoples pictures, so many great photographers around yourself included :)

Thank you Jack! Well its not the most "common" portrait i suppose so maybe people do not see what you and i see hehe, not sure. Its different maybe.

The "veil" is actually something we came up with that was just used for these portraits in a spur of the moment kind of thing. I wanted the mood to be a little "Edgar alan  Poeish" if you know what i mean, and then the "veil" which is just some makeup became like an "occult" mask in my mind. Something to add to the mystique of her persona. Im not sure others see it that way, but that was my idea;)

  3. Hey Jack, thank you:) Yes im really trying to frequent more often. I want to, but time is so limited for me these days. Also i was hoping the site would get that overhaul they showed in email, the beta you could try. That new site made my color photos look better. I had a problem since i started here with almost all color looking weird( at least from every screen i see from home). I asked the staff to help me with the problem but they couldnt. So always been a bit hesitant to add my better color photos because of that. But lets hope it gets better in the next version if they ever change:)

    Cheers! regards Martin.

  4. Thank you Saad:) and a good point about the cropping. I think i actually agree with you. Just wish there was a little more space to cut there since the post is so close to the soldiers. Will see if i can get that to work:)

    /Cheers, Martin.
