Great street shot where the lines and composition goes well together, i think the only thing i would have liked "different" would be that the mine goes in between the flags instead of them sticking up behind. Still its lovely with the depth you got from both the lines and background with the bridge etc, the figure with the umbrella caps it off nicely as well and makes it a very if not perfect picture.

Beautiful photo, love the contrast and haziness of the sky and water, the lighthouse breaks up that pattern very nicely.

Thank you so much Alain!

Thank you Arthur :)
And yes indeed its in Old Town . I do have some pictures from this same time, some with both eyes visible. might post some of them as well. I kind of like this one partly because of the one eyes showing hehe, for me it brings a little extra mystery to the picture.

Wow i never even knew the photo was a photo of the week and did not see until now how many of you have had made a comment here. Thank you for the feedback, i am glad some of you found it humorous ;)
As someone said, it brought a smile to my face as i shot it and the reason among others were just that, to bring a smile to the world :)
Happy shooting!

Jim: Thank you Jim :) And yes, even though no one mentioned it i have debated removing it as well, one part of me feel it IS distracting and another not enough to remove it cause i kind of like it as well hehe. And i also think the gimick is about the same thing, its not a "perfect" portrait in the normal sense for me, its an idea that just became this from my imagination more than trying to take a beautiful portrait of my wife.
But yes, it wouldnt make it a worse portrait for me to consider fixing those things you and others mentioned:)
Thank you:)

Jack: Yes! i remembered you said something about Whack a mole feeling when looking at the paths and people walking around ;) I found this one again but remade it as i was very unhappy with the lighting and sky, very observant of you.
Thank you.

Sandy: Yes indeed, serious in both the regard that its the Jewish memorial, was a fascinating but harrowing experience to visit the museum there. Also the maze was seriously big! Was an intriguing place with people spending time there coming in and out of the various paths in there taking photos, strolling, or paying their respect. It was so much symbolism going on that i could not contain myself but had to take out there camera and try and capture some of those stories unfolding.
Thank you:)

Jack: Yes, i was helping my wifes friend with a "bride to be" session. And said i could snap some pictures at the hotell they where on. All the other pictures were pretty obvious portraits with them together etc that they really liked, but i took this candid and liked it the most.
Thank you:)

Jack: Thank you! im happy you think this little picture is worthy of that:)
And thank you as always for the kind words. I try to be here, i have actually been here looking at other peoples photos but have not added anything new until yesterday.
When that beta launched i was "turned" off to the site to be honest, but what i DID like was that suddenly all those weird color images looked alright, so i was happy with that. The rest though really made my head spin.
I wil save some of my other newer shots to the near future, but will upload them in a while:)

Michail: Wow thank you for painting me that picture, lovely:)
Such a nice interpretation.
Very happy you liked it Michail.

Jack: Hehe thank you, yeh i always had this monochrome version and liked them both for different reasons. B/W is always something i love and usually end up doing the most, that is how i started. Last couple of years i have delved more into making color pictures i actually like, but i tend to wanna do it in a "irregular" way, like with this photo i shot in a wonky white balance to make it different. And that is what you see in that color version.
I have a hard time deciding which one i like the most. But i do like them both a lot.
Thank you.
