Thank you Jack. And i love your interpretation as always. It is not far from the truth or my imagination of when i took the photo. I left it in the PP and felt that the womans gaze was leading towards the branches as much as the statues which was intriguing in some way. I think the shot would be less of an image without her and those trees:)

Thanks Jack, and yes i feel the same way. I wanted to frame the "general" but also make it feel as though someone was peaking from the crowd to make it more "exciting".
/Cheers, Martin.

@Doug, wow thank you so much both for commenting but also for puting in the effort to explain why in a god way:) Means a lot.
The story which in reality would deserve a longer wall of text to really tell Robbies story, is close to my heart. For me also a photo i know the story to means so much more for me.

A fantastic Musician i met at a cafe this summer in Sweden. It all happened by chance
and i will have to call it faith that it happened the way it did. We were both left without
a seat him and i. So we had to sit at the stairs outside with our waffels. He was a sort
of vagabond musician who had his guitarr and some personal belongings.
The conversations started a bit slow and awkward at first, but after a few minutes i
realized this man had a fantastic story. I listened and shared my own story. I suddenly
felt like i needed his picture and a memory of him. He became shy but a bit flattered
and asked if he could use his photo in the future. I said of course!
I took his photo and he started playing his guitarr right then and there at the cafe and
he was brilliant. People stopped and listened.
I will never forget him. And im glad i never got that comfortable seat...

Hey Jack! Yes i realized that yesterday right after i uploaded them. I have not been on the site for a while as i have been busy with my own website and also RL stuff. So my paid membership was out and i did not renew for a while.
And i had alot of photos i liked the last year from trips etc, and wanted to renew again. I was anxious to get them all on here so i started yesterday to upload some. And then thought about just the thing you wrote now. That no one will have the time to look them through properly. So it was pretty unwise. Hopefully people will see them some other time when they critique something later on.
Thank you for stopping by once again Jack, will try to spend some more time here now again.

Trisha: Thank you. Yes i am happy i got a few images of the Eifel not being the tower itself but just as a background. Its the hardest thing in my opinion, to try and create a not so touristy shot of such a touristy sight hehe.

Trisha: Thank you Trisha, for the comment and your kind words. Yes i love Paris as a city. It is truly one of the most cosy and romantic cities you can visit. Really hope you get to see i one of these days:)

Benjamin: Thank you! I really liked the view we got from there. It was hard picking and choosing from where to finally take it, but i liked how the city was layed out below like rings on water from this majestic building.
/Regards Martin.

Tony: Thank you so much:) Yes it was a pain to walk and to get to the spot where i finally took this picture. But in the end it was worth it i believe.
Glad you liked it.

I really like this winter image. Mostly because i instantly got a feeling of how it would be like standing looking at that scenery, i could feel the cold but also smell the cold winter air that is so crisp and lovely that time of year. Wonderful. Also the comosition and colors are perfect for the scene.
Great stuff.

Thank you for your comment and thank you for your words:) It is always in my thoughts when i go to these well known places and cities to try and take photos that are mine and try to implement my own style and wishing for the time and opportunity to make something unique as well as create a good memory to look at and remember in the future.
But it is tough sometimes. The time is lacking, the motivation too sometimes when you finally get there among crowds of other tourists etc hehe. But it is a fun challenge!
Sometimes i succeed, and sometimes i do not;)
About the PP and grain, well i created a few different images from this original, and i think this version was one way for me to implement my "style" which i often resort to, namely B/W and grainy hehe. Its not always my prefference. But in this version i went with that. I am uploading another version too though which is color, you might like that better:)
Cheers, Martin.
