  1. I had not read the above comment before I decided to critique this photo, but what is said is absolutely right. The composition is fantastic - and yes perhaps better with 4:3 ratio, loosing some from the right - but this photo needs some punch. Contrast!
  2. It's a decent image, but perhaps a tad overexposed. Would crop the reflections on right side.
  3. Fantastic shot. Really ethereal. Although you've captured the movement well, this shot feels perfectly still.

Great shot. Lines, curves, patterns and textures. Repetition.  Nice DOF that allows the eye through the door. Not sure I would have reduced the blue so much, the sky being so dark doesn't help, for me, to balance the other tones.
  5. I think I like this one as there is a definite sense of travel here. Given the direction of the other boat, I take the man's melancholic stare to be that of someone looking back to where and what they have left. There is a sadness. The outside is all bright, crisp, alive and structured, but inside it is all shadowed, soft and unclear. Narrative.

    Alone

Without wishing to anthropomorphise this Baboon, this portrait has tons of emotion!

    Autumn metamorphosis

Lovely calm image and a fantastic title. It is almost like a combined time lapse photo on the life of a rock! Great shot.

Children are Not always sweetness and light, at least mine anyway.  Great job of capturing her melancholy in a nice low key contrasty image.  Great mood.  Reds perhaps a little too dark, her lips for example. Great shot

You have caught the light along the central ridge very well. Perhaps some stronger blacks may help.

    Rocky Start - Yukon

Great shot Tony. I particularly like the yellows and oranges in the rocks and grass, and the grays in both foreground and on the mountain. The opposing diagonals are also very pleasing.

    The Enchanted Wood

Indeed, fantastic light. Very well captured. I find forests to be an exceptionally challenging subject, both as regards exposure and finding a strong subject. This photo works well on both counts.

Lovely structure, mood and colours. A really strong image.
  13. Fantastic! Sharp, fun and I love the framing.
  14. My eyes literally climb the rocks into the mist shrouded peaks. Fantastic. Must have been a hard exposure to balance, whether done in camera or in post it is very well handled.

Another fine monochrome. Great light and leading line to the nicely illuminated rock. I want to squish my toes into the sand!

    " Forest Rock "

Nice saturated colours in this pleasantly calm autumn shot.

Lovely colours in a very still photo. Pin sharp front to back and silky water. Bit of dead space on the left and everything happening in the middle of the frame.
  18. This photo really has something, not sure what, but it really has it!

The man in black! Great image and perfectly framed. Really like this one.
  20. Tones, detail, contrast are all spot on but the emotion aces it. Love the look on the woman's face, so proud! Great shot.

Cool image, could be so much cooler with a few tweaks! Not sure if you process your images or not, or if you want to, but a small crop and a little contrast and saturation would really make this image come alive!
  22. Really good image. The colours particularly are really beautiful. The contrast in the rocks is also nicely done. I see you used Lightroom to process this Image. Was that all? Or did you finish it with mother program? I'm curious, as I can never achieve such punch with Lightroom alone.

For me this shot is over saturated, too blue and garish. My eye seems drawn to the woman crossing the road, but she is of no interest. For a photo with lots of depth, it looks a little flat.

Fantastic. It's like the landscape is awakening from, or entering into, a dream. I love this one!

    Before Down-2

I want to be sitting on the end of this jetty! As with all your shots, lovely mood here. Love the single star/planet. Spot on exposure
