andresfaya 0 Posted October 30, 2015 The melancholic look of the traveler suit the monochrome very well. I like also the contrast of the white water and the dark character as well as the contrast of the turbulent water and the calm look of the young man.The clouds give it an interesting look as if the end of time were coming. scotttyrrell 0 Posted October 30, 2015 I think I like this one as there is a definite sense of travel here. Given the direction of the other boat, I take the man's melancholic stare to be that of someone looking back to where and what they have left. There is a sadness. The outside is all bright, crisp, alive and structured, but inside it is all shadowed, soft and unclear. Narrative. Link to comment
Tony Brandstetter 814 Posted October 31, 2015 This is so well done with the leading lines that bring us to the traveler. The layering makes a dramatic statement and covers the definition of "Fine Art" Link to comment
Wouter Willemse 851 Posted October 31, 2015 I very much like this shot for the reasons others already wrote. The composition works really well, also as the traveller initially does not demand any attention.A minor thing I'm not too sure , though, is the toning. A more classical very light sepia, or pure B/W, would have worked a bit better for me. But it's not something that detracts very much from this fine photo at all. Link to comment
