Good Idea to follow up with the color fi,m results... HAving just had the Signet experience.. this does look very desirable... I've got to stop buying cameras and start sellinmg some of my seconds etc...
I say that to myself all the time.

I only used Ultron from the clamshell Vitessa, and I do find it combine high resolution with medium contrast. I guess that combination help preserve a bit more details in the highlight?
It is a bit like the Rigid Summicron 50/2 for M-mount. And the Ultron is one of my all time favorite lens. Not sure if the Prominent mount version has similar characteristics.
Bruce, have you used the Nokton 50 or the Skopar 50 on the Prominent? Jason Schneider used the declare the Skopar the best of all. I very much admire the Nokton. Here's a shot from it:

I didn't know members could start new forums.

I bought a RTS II couples weeks ago with the 50/1.4 and 85/1.4. Really nice camera and lenses...
The body have a nice solid/robust feeling which I enjoy. But the downside is that is a bit hard to hold with just the right hand. Maybe a small grip like F3 would have been handy? But it would have not look has nice/streamlined has it is.
The red led infos really popup well in the bright and large viewfinder.
I like the knobs, push buttons and winder. I’m a mechanical engineer, I like things like that ;)
For the batteries I just bought a pack of 5 for 15$ on Amazon so price and availability don’t seem to be a problem.
Just finished my first roll. Can’t wait to see the pictures.
Post the pics here when they come from the lab.

I just did some Internet research. The film shortage is general in the West. Film sells out faster than the manufacturers can produce it!
I foresee getting a lot more practice on mono film, which is still easy to find.

What if you changed the name of Sunday Streets to Saturday Streets? In most towns, Sunday--especially in the afternoon--is dead. The very mention of Sunday in a photography forum is a drag. Now, Saturday, that means fun! What say?

A 'living statue' accepting small payment for standing around, doing as little as possible?
A phenomenon that is underexposed. One aspect of which that needs more light is why people think it is something deserving a financial reward. They ignore and are annoyed by beggars who are open about their intentions. But think this is a performance that must be rewarded.
The street is full of mystery.
And if these "living statues" spot a camera on you, they run over demanding payment. If you don't fork over, things get nasty.

Wow. A really new idea. I have never seen a shot of a moose jumping a fence!

My EOS 620 is cosmetically perfect. I mean, like new! But it eats batteries. You can have it for the price of shipping. Anyone interested?

I was simplifying a bit. My XD-11 is actually a Japanese market XD like yours. It is superb. The XE, also Japanese, will have to be a beast to beat it.

Minolta's XD-11 is currently my favorite Minolta, but I have an XE-7 coming from Japan. Will the XE surpass the XD? I have heard great things about this camera.

I like Minolta glass so much that I've been looking for the perfect Minolta body. I have an XE coming from Japan. Maybe that will be the Grail.

To be honest, the shake removal is no great shakes. It looks like oversharpening. I've had stand-alone software do a better job, and it didn't take half a day to install.

Gentlemen, thank you all for your suggestions. They paid off, with several hours of work. I spoke to an Indian guy at Adobe, and he stayed with me for two hours clearing the way for the program. But just as we got near payoff, we lost the phone connection. I called back and got an Indian lady. We worked for another hour, and got the download started. When it was
22% complete, a certain lady turned off the computer! Now I tried installing from the disc while I guarded the computer. Success at last. PSE 22 runs smoothly. although it is needlessly complicated. There's going to be a long learning curve. Unless you simply must have shake removal and fog dispersal, stick with what you have.

Uh, oh. Mistake here.
This actually was taken with a Nikon F at 1/1000. I truly did test the FM2 at its top speed, but I haven't found the resulting shot. But I'm looking.

I had a slide printed on Cibachrome in 1975. Turns out their advertising did not lie. The print, as far as I can see, is exactly the same. It wasn't stored under special conditions, but all the color is correct and intact.

Hi, I need an honest number for Adobe technical support for PS. When I try to call using numbers I have found online, I am connected with scam artists in India or the Philippines.
It seems like something could be done to block these charlatans.

I go through and occasionally ask myself "Why did I take this picture?" Quality is generally fine, but it doesn't quite make sense with the rest of the box.
Often those shots are at the end of the roll, when you were rushing.
Does anyone have a "never-ready" case for a Voigtländer Vito III?
