  1. I started out in 1954 with a Brownie Hawkeye flash model. The lens was mediocre at best, but a little coaching would have greatly improved my output. After that initial outburst, I didn't take pictures again until 1978! I still got no coaching, but I was old enough to learn from my mistakes. But get this. My oldest son was never coached, and he is even retarded/autistic; but his sense of color and composition is quite good. Here's a picture he took of our cat. He was 5 years old (the boy, not the cat).

  2. Okay, it isn't a dog, but the shot is topical. This four-year-old girl comforts her kitten as she rides in a car with her parents. They are fleeing Kharkov, heading across Ukraine toward Lvov. I'm glad to say they arrived safely, albeit IMG-0038.thumb.JPG.a9036d8fee6eb0563c007719c446fed4.JPG after paying obscene bribes at "checkpoints."

  3. Some from the Yashica FX-3 Super 2000 with the 50mm Yashica ML f/2 lens that I showed recently in the "What camera..." thread. The film was Ilford FP4 Plus developed in PMK Pyro.

Rick, please post some shots with living creatures. I would be interested in the results.
