A very powerful image, masterfully underexposed, giving it a realistic, and also imaginable, sad reality. Sad world.....and all for idiosyncratic and religious beliefs. What a waste of human creative potential to work for all to have the basic nourishment, a dignified abode, and water to drink and wash. Your image transcends the basic photography elements and transforms that into a painful reality. The expression you captured so magnificently somber and sad, strongly impresses me and I must place it among my favorites. An exceptional piece of work. My sincere respects. DG

I salute each and every one of you personally in this message, for practical purposes. Nonetheless, I sincerely appreciate each and every one of your comments, which humble me, coming form accomplished photographers as all of you are. It was one of those "chances" I was forced to take without having a tripod. I was lucky to get the result in three sequential fast succession of shots to get this HDR, not knowing what would come out. I am happy with the result, and ever happier and honored by your comments. Thank you sincerely, DG. PS. For Saad: I agree with you....unfortunately, the camera companies actually seem to be disconnected for the users, and going their own way "assuming" we "must" like what they come out with. The camera industry (and serious photography) is really being hurt and challenged by the iPhones and the like.

Hello Michael: I knew I would find something special. No sooner than that, I came across these intriguing floating elements, not only artistically, but simulating the vacuum in space, but with the order, perspective, and your excellent taste in colors and composition. Pure perfection! My best regards and sincere congratulations. Stay well. DG

One of the most dramatic BW images I have seen in a really looking time. I must place it atop of my favorites, as it reminds me of the more "classical" images of the 60s and 70x, where one did not have all the new cybernetic resources. It is an award-winning image. Too bad for PN that the "Elves" have gone away. But the true prize comes from you audience, anyway. Most sincere congratulations. DG

Ahhhh. What a sight! Your art is truly unique. This is indeed a wonderful photograph and post-processing. The moment you caught is magically full of details (e.g. the round shield with unusual characters, juxtaposed to a very British surrounding), so rich in content and so marvelously composed, that I felt compelled to place it among my top favorites. It is a vibrant, dynamic capture of a moment in Time on this Planet, in some undescribed location.....its anonymity enhancing, even more, the twilight/evening happenings of fellow inhabitants on this ever swirling planet. I just love this photo. My humble and most respectful admiration of what you have accomplished and mastered. Sincerely, DG

After many years of following, relishing, and being delighted by your portrait of Nature, I dare say you are, at least IMHO a master of Macro, regaling your followers with the astonishing beauty and variety the existence on this Planet, in the Milky Way Galaxy gives us. I am grateful for having someone like you in PN, thanking you for the visual pleasure you so kindly regale us with. Kind regards. DG

Again my admired friend, I just cannot physically compliment you on the many of your photographs I am drawn to while cruising your vast portfolio. Each one of them is imbued with some "special" element, angle, detail, post-processing, but all of them denote a profound "vision" and a deep knowledge of the art of photography. I am no one to judge, I can only express my humble opinion after practicing this elusive art for over half a century. With all my respects. Stay well and receive my warmest regards. DG

A simple BEAUTY!! DOF is so adroitly exploited. IMHO denotes not only a great sensibility but a very deep understanding of how common object turns out to be a many-paged message. This image, especially in BW, should be, with all due respect, taken advantage of for publicity. Otherwise, it shall remain in my special treasure box. Bravo! With my usual warmest regards and admiration for your work. DG

Hello dear friend Michael: You are among the very few that portray so clearly a profound knowledge of photography. I say this in all humbleness. With this image, you transcend the ordinary into a distorted extraordinary, beyond impressionism. The effects leave me agape, surprised, and wondering into the mysterious "impression" of persons, especially the one apparently taking a photo with a small camera. As the saying goes and applies perfectly, "there's much more than meets the eye. Simply masterful. And the scant comments, IMHO denote that few people "get it". I feel lucky (maybe) if I somehow interpreted this very special photograph. Well done! Great that you posted it. I only wish many more people could relish it as I do. For that, I will click many times on the "like/clap" icon All my best. DG

Wow Michael: I was immediately drawn to this "apparently" an everyday one. However, your very careful composition turns it into a captivating image, taking the attention of the viewer away from the cars and emphasizing so adroitly the heavy rain. For me it is a picture, and a great one by the way, of "rain", as simple as that. I haven't seen many that so precisely focus and capture a natural phenomenon. What I am trying to say is that yes, I have seen many images of trees, forests, flowers with drops, but for me, your image captures the essence of "rain", and THAT is a wonderful perception. Bravo! Hello Giangiorgio and Michael: Your comments always lift my spirits, and through them, I learn a lot about my photographs. Your kind sharing of thoughts and observations make me look "at the other side of the coin" as if it were just lying on a surface, able to look just what I see through my viewer when I take the picture. Your comments uncover the "other side", always learning and seriously considering every word you write, for which I am sincerely grateful. My best personal regards to both of you. DG
