  4. Life imitates art. Does anyone remember the movie "Auntie Mame" with Rosalind Russell?
  5. A few years ago I was using an old Epson 2200 and doing the black ink Clayton Jones method on matte paper and it seemed to work pretty well, but I imagine there's much better ways now. But I was pretty happy with those results. Is the Clayton Jones method still relevant with today's tech?
  6. I'm quite happy that an action prompted this discussion because I just got to see a bunch of really nice photos, I guess I don't see the topics in the no-words forum as being based on chronology; instead more as a continuum. If someone who hasn't posted to it before decided to and it ignites another round of sharing seems ok to me.
  7. “Instinct has a priority on intelligence.” I like that quote, but then I perceive instinct as being a part of intelligence that in some ways encompasses intellect.
  8. Amazing images Dieter. I do think I prefer the wide angle lens view than the Ed's fine stitched image.
  9. Concur. Cameraquest would have them if anyone did.
  10. Can't you just go to a local hardware store and find something suitable to make one?
  11. Sure, sometimes, but not directly. I don't see many photos here that have a huge impression, though sometimes there are. Some discussions are interesting.
  12. Not so much in the rangefinder world. Leica and VC. In APC world, Fuji's 2.0 X lenses are compact and can take great images. I'm just sort of chuckling at the OP's indignation. Really, when it comes to sensors, size does matter in most instances. I'm pretty sure you can see a difference between a M 4/3; a full frame or even more so a Medium Format camera's images.
  13. If I was answering the OP's question from what I would do, I just know I always show up for an interview dressed appropriately, where I live its some form of coherent casual, not sloppy. But wasn't the Sapranos a morality tale about the costs of the ultimate capitalist quest in acting out some idealistic and abstract concept of individual freedom? Social Darwinism as a family practice.

  15. And last is multi-instrumentalist Theo Page in a very rough morning after a late nite-early morning session at Lark in the Morning music celebration.
