    This sunrise of the Paine Massif was taken from an unusual lookout not well known at all from the visitors to that place. The old Weber wooden bridge shown on the photo over the River Paine was, unfortunately, destroyed by the authorities in 2012, when it was replaced by the new concrete bridge Weber II.     This is the old coal pier used at the beginning of the 20th Century to bring coal to the steam Ships of that time. Punta Arenas had a nearby coal mine and a train used to bring it from the mine up to the pier included. Sunrise time, Magellan Straight. Thanks for Ratings and Critiques.

    In the foreground are the silhouettes of Nothofagus Trees or "Lengas", but these were burnt in the big fire of December 2011. That was a very big disaster. Almost 18.000 ha (43.505 Acres) were burnt down in 58 days. Behind, the Cuernos del Paine at sunset. Critiques and Ratings welcome.
