1. My last expedition at the Base of Torres del Paine was in 1998 with slide film camera. This was my first oportunity with Digital, after 17 years absence to this place. Took position at the outlet of the proglacial lake so that I could get a very interesting foreground with the river moving. It was a cloudless sunrise, but nevertherless, I am quite happy after so many years away from this place, despite living nearby. Had only two mornings of good weather in a 13 days- stay to get the shot. Critiques and Ratings welcome.

3.
Does anyone having this camera knows if this new camera has bulb for expositions longers than 60 s.? Thank you.

4. Just a shot of a Master of Landscape Photography. Congratulations.
5.
I have more than 10 lenses AIS top of the line, but not the 28 mm. I made many pictures with those lenses with the D800 especially al sunrise and night shots. Absolutely no problems to make prints up to 24" x 50" or even more. Quality is maximum. See my photos, some of them were blown up at home to the size mentioned.

6. Chris, As I explained it, the weather was awful and I had to get away. Only two days of good weather. Therefore not much material. Have to go back next year for one month, , aprox. 20th of March to 20th of April. Did you publish your sunrise of the Cuernos del Paine? Thas was a good shot and you should receivd good critiques.

Brooklyn Bridge Park

Very original and new vision of New York.
8. What a Master you are with your foregrounds. Very good eyes. congratulations.
9. Thanks for all comments, critiques and the very good ratings. It is incredible how people like this old pier. I have 6 photos of the same pier in my portfolio, and at home I have hundreds of them and I could make a big book about only this pier with photos with sunset, sunrise, with birds, with snow, with mist, with tempest, frozen, everything. Nowadays, in summer and up to April, many professionals and amateurs congregate facing the old pier to take pictures from all angles. You already have to queue up to get a very good location if you do not position early. In 1992, I published my first postcard of Puerto Natales with various pictures, one was the old pier by day and in 1997, I published my first postcard of the pier with a sunset (only one view). Of course, at that time nobody was around with me. These postcards were the beginning to make famous this pier in all the world. Welcome to all to visit our old pier and take the best possible photo.
10. Yan Zhang, Even with two weeks in Chalten, you were lucky. I have been on some locations in Torres del Paine up to 5 weeks before some magic light happened. Thanks for the speed information. I am happy that so good photographers come and visit Patagonia. You are one of them and we all can learn from you.
11. Yesterday, definitly we had a different mood at sunset time with these terrific clouds. Thanks for Ratings and Critiques and enjoy.

Warming

The magic of the ice and an impressive foreground and sunset at the back. Very good.
15. Yan Zhang, Trully impressive photograph. I live in Patagonia and I know what I say. To Do such a shot in only 2 days, is a miracle or very good luck with the weather. Deserves a 7.
16. Probably it was not in your posibilities, but the boat should look to the left, so as if it enters the photo (although it is parked). On your photo, although it is parked, it looks getting out of the photo.
17.
I have a Feisol tripod and while I was taking a night shot some 10 months ago, the tripod colapsed because one leg was a bit lose I found out later. The D800 was on top, with a Vello Shutterboss Remote Timer (with a 10-Pin connection) that was connected at that time. All came down, but D800 stayed on tripod, but 160 cm lower near the soil.
Later on, I found out that the remote timer no longer worked. It was OK and the 10-Pin connection of the camera was not damaged, at least phisically. I bought another remote (the same) and the problem persists.
I live 3000 km from Santiago de Chile, where there is a Nikon Repair Service, but in the past had not good experience with them.
Really do not know what to do so that it works again, as I need to make a lot of pictures with Mirror up, and I need the Remote Timer for that, which is better than a timer of a few seconds with the mirror down.
Thanks

18. Sometimes, some very good shots can be done from much lower lookouts, but only of two towers. The south Tower is here not visible. The autumn was at its peak, but did not last for long. 3 days later, after heavy winds, cold and rain, not much of the leaves were left. Thanks for Ratings and Critiques.
19. A new sunset photo of this very photogenic old pier of our town of Puerto Natales in Chile. Ratings and Critiques welcome.

21. Tony, Wonderful picture, conveys peace.
22. Sweid and Tony, Sorry for the big copyright (with only 1% of transparency), all my pictures in Photonet will always have it, although lately only with little transparency. I remind you that in South America, copyright is not respeted and we have to advertise more the law. Although the picture is very small, tourist agencies and others still copy photos for their website to get clients (and money) thanks to our photos. This is the reality here. But both photos sent to the critique forum of these days will be published very soon in my new book about Torres del Paine, without the copyright symbol. Thanks for all the other ratings and critiques too.
23.
T for Titanium. I also have a few.
