1.
Thanks Brian - I guess we all learn how to manage our light conditions no matter what they are.

 2.
Great images everyone! John, given the harshness of the Aussie sun (especially in Queensland) sometimes I wonder what it is like in a land with little light. This week shots are of a flowing herb plant. The flower are very tiny, only about 5ml, and the sun blazes down on them most of the day, so I had to wait until quite late in the day to get some shots.

 3.
Terrific and inspiring shots this week everyone!

Sanford, there was an earthquake near you? I really like the whimsy of your pineapple shot as well.
Sadanand, I really like that first shot. Getting down and dirty with my camera is one of my favourite things to do.
Brian, love the church shot!
Louis, I know how you feel - moving to where nature surrounds you is so good for the soul. A real feast for the eyes - I'm particularly taken with the train depot shot.
David - no splashes? How on earth did you mange that lol?

This week just a few random shots from around the yard...

 4.
Fascinating image, Sanford. Sadanand, lovely dark tones - the flower really stands out. Brian, nice light and an arresting composition too. Gerry, the performer wants to jump right out of the frame at me! Such vibrant colours! Elliot, what a little cutie! Just wait until my granddaughters (two have been born this year) are a bit older - I'll be showing them off on PN for sure.

My shots are of some Begonia's (I think) that I found randomly growing near the ground under some large leaves.

 5.
Thanks Gordon, I liked the ghostly spider too :)

 6.
Terrific images this week, I really like your opening image Laura, and your Lensbaby shot Rick. There are small spiders everywhere; their webs strung between plants. Here's one I spotted recently.

 7.
John, I hate that first shot too! Definable not webby enough, but an awesome abstract nonetheless. My shots this week are of a Hippaestrum plant.

 8.
Many thanks Rick - turns out it's a Kalanchoe Pinnata. Much as I try to identify the various plants and flowers I shoot, I mostly fail because I don't know enough about how to describe them accurately so the search results are way to big.
