  1. On a foggy day, the spider's web catches more dew than flies! Nikon Nikormat EL, Kodak Tri-X 400 film
  2. Helicopter rides. Fuji GW690II, Kodak Tnax400 film
  3. I screwed up the last roll in my Nikkormat EL. I neglected to press down the battery compartment door and it was partly lifting the mirror. Most of my shots were blurry and there was a dark line where the battery compartment door blocked the light path. So the camera's getting a second take out, loaded with Tri-X. I bet I get more keepers. :)
  4. Does the old girl still got game? Canon 10D
  5. Although this one was live, I could hear Frank Drebin in my head.... :) Nikon D7000 - decided to grab this, my "car" camera for our walk. Stays in the car nearly all year, never fails to be ready to go.
  6. Joking. I wouldn't buy it. I couldn't believe how poor the quality was.
  7. I wonder if the folks who could remove it simply don't care, or are overwhelmed by other issues. Sorta similar to how, back in the cold war days, the Soviets didn't really have any trouble getting US secrets, it was the shear volume of stuff they could actually steal that overwhelmed them. Made it nearly impossible to tell the wheat from the chaff.
  8. It's interesting how it works. It blocks both the blocked user's posts as well as any thread he starts.
  9. Like many here, I've lamented the loss of ability to filter out forums which hold no interest to me. I have discovered a mini-cure, somewhat drastic, but it works. A lot of threads are started by "evangelists" within the forum. If you ignore that person, the threads they have started disappear from your "Recent Posts" feed, and all subsequent posts by that user go away. Limited in functionality, but I no longer see "Phone Friday" threads.
  10. Oh, I was on that side of the fence until last year... Ever bought one? :) I did, at a ride up in Michigan last year. I thought the low-resolution crappy image I saw on the computer monitor was deliberately that poor to keep folks from doing just that. Then I got the print. OMG. This thing was like worse than even VGA resolution. For ten bucks. Call me a thief from now on.
  11. Trying to annoy a very stoic puppy. :) Canon Canonet QL17 GIII, Kodak Tmax 100 film
  12. A favored toy and a happy face. Minolta Maxxum 7, Ilford HP5+ film
  13. A much less famous building; Anamosa Iowa. Canon EOS Rebel SL1
  14. Unscheduled tree stand climbing. :) D500
  15. I have three Maxxum 7000 bodies, usually purchased "for the lens" and they get little use despite being fine cameras still. On a side note, the "professional" Maxxum 9000 apparently uses an earlier, inferior AF system. I own one and the AF is putrid, to say the least. Too bad too, b/c the body is in immaculate shape and was professionally CLA'd to be sure it was up to specs. It is... It's just that the specs suck. :)
  16. Anyone in the market for a "slightly worn" Zomei tripod box? Free retrieving! Err, shipping! Mamiya RB67, Ilford XP2 film
  17. Mamiya RB67, Ilford XP2 film
  18. Son and pup, running together, spring 2017. Olympus OM-D E-M1
  19. Two redwinged blackbirds eye each other up. Yep, it's spring in Iowa. Canon EOS Rebel SL1
  20. He must be a patriot. Or really old.
  21. A long time ago you could hide a forum or only see a specific picture category. Now you can't. All these "Funny" images are from one photographer too, which, if we had the ability, we could "ignore" content from that individual. Alas, this POS forum software has no provision for something so onerous - hiding EVERYTHING a user posts. Even facebook allows "Hide all from DickWadX" and the content, and problem, goes away.
  22. Soggy street construction site. Fuji GW690II, Ilford Delta 100 film
  23. A new bike, a new door opens. Fuji GW690II, Ilford Delta 100 film
