  1. 3rd version using HDR Efex - - - - - - - Sadly, folks, since I used a literal myriad of control points, remembering my steps literally, logically, and philosophically is not going to happen.
  2. 2nd version: : : : : All work in Silver Efex, starting with an artistic preset; adjusted tonality with lightness and contrast;, increased detail with structure at 20%;applied preset image borders
  3. 3 versions. Version the 1st (All work in PSE2020) - - - Cropped from left; adjusted tonality with levels, but selectively modified by dodging and burning, used sharpening tool rather lightly after realizing a harsher treatment created sharpening artifacts, especially on the traffic
  4. Aside from what Giangiorgio stated, I view the metal fence and gate as conveying a bit of mystery. I wonder how far it extends on both sides, Bravo, Pierre! - My best always, michael

    Grey heron passing

Vincent, Giangiorgio hit the nail on the head; there's no need for me to reiterate what he stated. What struck me as also worthy of comment is the color and lighting. Add the DOF, and I could summarize by just stating that the image is one of artistic and skillful contrast. - - My best always, michael
  6. Giangiorgio, I always can count on you to supply honest reviews. This is no exception. - - My best always, michael - -Ciao!

    Cat's Portal

The cat's posture is a bit puzzling, since only one eye seems to be able to view the portal. It seems to me that what the portal offers should have been another cat - one of the opposite sex . For its sake, I hope that one area of vegetation includes catnip. This is quite a flight of fancy, George. - - My best always, michael

    Umbrellas

Giangiorgio, it seems that I'm always late to the party. I too thought that this image is an abstract (credit to PDE) until I read your narrative. It's quite a change of pace for you, and it demonstrates your ability to produce superior work no matter what the genre. - - My best always, michael - - Ciao!
  9. George, this image is nothing short of spectacular. It made me realize that a bald eagle isn’t just a political symbol. - - My best always, michael
  10. As one who does a lot of pp, I’m with the other members. The post work on this image is overdone. A quick fix would entail using a blur filter/tool.

    on a bed of green

G&V, magnificent color palette which provides dramatic hue contrast. The raindrops add a great deal of atmosphere. - - My best always, michael
