Sigh.... why do I even bother?
-
I took these photos in Red Hook, Brooklyn, most of which are of this fascinating old building with all sorts of equipment coming out of it. Two weeks later, it was gone. Ya gotta get 'em while you can!

can you retake the shot and take bracketed exposures (shutter variation only)? HDR might bring out the detail better than you can with just one shot. Or take it on a cloudy day to cut the drastic contrast, then boost the darks a bit yourself?
It looks like you took it midday. Later or earlier would make more interesting shadows and lighting.

Very nice. Illustrates the difference between a snapshot and a portrait. A little more arch and less at the bottom would have improved it, but you had a lot of image to cover there.

looking at those beam angles, it's amazing it was standing at this point! Doesn't look like much water would end up in that tank. Great to capture something just in time before it's gone forever.

Beautifully made. Has an early 1900s feel to it.

shutter speed captures the motion perfectly, explosive in the cauldron itself

love item collages at thrift stores like this. I like polaroid pictures. They seemed like windows into another world and your eyes wanted to see them in 3D

Thanks. This was heavily zoomed in from the bottom of a long stairway.

Gorgeous. it's like the wispy clouds on top are ascending right out of the tree

Love it. It's like a sleek silvery fish in the water

Classic BW architecture shot with the red or polarizer filter. Like all the curves contrasted with the squared off tree area behind

Beautifully made, enough light to see all the action and detail. It's the double edged sword... too little blur makes it look frozen, too much and you lose the detail. It might be the former here, but that back foot and dust bring back the motion.
Gracias, Google...
It was taken from the shadows on the street of people standing a few feet away, then rotated. Thanks, Ray

There was a blank screen up on the wall. I put the whole picture into the screen two deep. Oh well, seemed like a good idea at the time :)
