Wow! This really catches my eye! I like the way the frame is completely filled with sections of symmetry.

Very stirring. I don't know why, but this stirs a lot of emotion in me.

I like the original photo better. To me the empty tracks running through the original is the focal point and works well...

Thanks for your comments on my Lunar eclipse shot. I didn't get 400 pictures - only 384. I'm in the same boat as you as far as sorting through them (and thawing our, it was 6deg here that night). I had clear weather until the moon started coming our of the eclipse. I'm trying to find the time to make a collage; maybe someday. Your Lunar shots are excellent!

Thanks Jerald,
I have a hard time getting a shot of a full Moon - let alone a Lunar eclipse. This was hard because of the bright light in the 5 O'clock position with the rest of the Moon being dark from the shadow of the Sun. I probably did crop this too tight for the lens I was using.

Tony,
I think it looks great, especially for a first attempt!

Thanks everyone for your comments. I would love to have a longer lens and/or a telescope. I've already invested too much money in the glass I have now...maybe someday :)

Too much post processing??

I agree with what John says. I do know I get an yellowish Moon image when I set the White Balance to sunlight and a more grayish (black & white) Moon image when I set the White Balance to auto. This is on an Canon XTi/D400.

Nice shot! I'm not familiar with that camera - so I don't know what power your lens is. You have good details in the craters when viewed larger. Maybe crop a little tighter...

Thanks Bill,
Nice capture! I did okay, I'm still looking them over. I didn't quite get to 400 - only 384:)photos. I had clear skies until just after the Moon started to come out of the shadow. This is one of the better ones.

That's an excellent image for a 200mm lens....
