You have nailed the HDR here. I think it is so often used for the wrong subjects or simply too intense. I have just begun to experiment with it and it isn't so easy to come out with a good result. Very nice shot. The sky is perfect and the lighting on the boat is evenly balanced. Well done.

What a gorgeous shot. The blue in the sky is perfect and the trees on the left look majestic. What a perfect day. Very good.

A very nice exposure here. The rocks came out beautiful. I think that the branches on the right are a little distracting though as well as some of the foreground since it is so bright. Perhaps a little tighter crop. I also would like to see a little more detail/texture in the water. Just a couple thoughts. Very nice though.

An old dilapidated building on the former Ft. Ord Army base. Due to be
demolished to make way for new housing developments.

I love the mist and the color of the sky. The lines formed by the ridges take the eye from the bottom right up through the top of the image leading to the peak in the distance. Beautiful capture.

Beautiful architecture and lighting. Very nice work with the multi exposures. I think HDR is very often used on inappropriate subjects or way over done. I am just beginning to experiment with it myself and try to keep it to a minimum. Very nice shot. I too enjoy shooting abandoned buildings and such. I am close to an abandoned Army base shut down in the 90's and now in the process of being developed with 1000's of homes. I'm trying to capture as much of what remains before it is gone. Great work here! These are the kind of shots I strive for

I agree. I think it looks like the cover of some Disney movie. But well done nonetheless

Great capture. I didn't manage to shoot this particular part of the Vatican as well. I really did enjoy shooting there, but as you know the lighting is so challenging. We're lucky that they allow so much freedom to photographers in this most incredible of monuments. What an amazing place. I invite you to take a peak at my shots from the Vatican as well. Well done.

Well composed. Good tonal range and lighting. I think this works well.

I agree that the noise reduction in the sky makes all the difference. The grain works fine on the rocks but not so much in the sky.

The lighting on the tree is very nice and I enjoy the old look to the picture. I think the grain works well in this particular shot. The lighting really pulls my eye to the subject.

I tried a different crop for this. A little tighter at another PN's
suggestion. I think she was right.

Good natural lighting. A bit on the grainy side but I bet the lighting was tough. A slight bit of noise reduction might work wonders here. See attachment.

Beautiful shot. Great DOF and natural lighting. I would like to see a little more detail in the face, maybe some fill flash or reflection but overall a precious shot and one that will be a treasure for many years to come I'm sure.

The color of the houses with the stilts make for an interesting subject. The lack of water just adds to it.
